I got a call the next morning from the Petone team and they made it so easy. The car was inspected and chips repaired within half an hour. Really appreciated the seamless service and the cost was half what I was expecting (based on what I'd seen online from other places during my panic of how much this was possibly going to cost me). “Wellingto European have been servicing both of my cars for a number of years, 2009 Smart car and 1953 MG TD sports. All work has been completed to a very high standard. With MG TD at WOF inspections unusual deficiencies have been identified and attended to. These included non compliant copper brake lines (replaced with steel) and a worn steering rack (renewed.) The engine and gearbox were also removed and replaced after overhaul by specialists. All costs have been advised beforehand and there have been no unexpected additions unless advised. The staff have been excellent to deal with and it has been a breath of fresh air to return to the older style of efficiency and courtesy.”

I'd been to two other mechanics previously for a service/investigation and they'd do the service, start investigating the issue I'd flagged and then just go, meh, looks like a sensor issue. Pit Stop were the first people to actually look past the surface and try to find the fault. They found it and repaired it in the space of a day for a reasonable price. Yeah my car is old enough to drink in the USA but that doesn't mean its issues are just age-related. Cheers pit stop! You'll be my go-to from now on!”
