    Had my WOF done at MIDAS Lower Hutt and was really impressed. The inspection was quick, the issues were explained clearly, and the repairs were done efficiently. Prices were very reasonable too. Mohammed (the owner) and his team were professional, polite, and genuinely friendly. I’ve been looking for a trustworthy place to service my older car, and I think I’ve finally found it. Mohammed even told me I only needed a basic service, not the top one — really honest advice. Highly recommend. I’ll definitely be returning.

    Change of brake pads was fine. Really disappointed that their "test drive" consisted of the driver/staff member taking my car on a personal drive, making two stops first at BP Melling and then onto Z on VIC corner to purchase something on company time using my vehicle. The driver also doesn't wear a seatbelt while using the car and the stop at BP included leaving my keys in it at the pump nearest the roadside. Great way to get a car stolen.

    I had an excellent experience here! The owner is incredibly honest, which is rare to find. I took my car in because I thought there was an issue with some noise. The owner assigned a knowledgeable, experienced mechanic to take a test drive with me. After the drive, they assured me there was nothing wrong with the car—and they didn’t charge me anything! I highly recommend this place. A+++!

    Service performed. Operator/manager seemed disinterested in performing work on my vehicle. After much convincing by me he reluctantly said he'd call me tomorrow (Tuesday) and hasn't. Overall a waste of my time, and others to go to a mechanic that seems unwilling to perform mechanical work.

    Mohammed and the team at Midas provide an excellent and timely service, every time! I have taken my car there on numerous occasions, for general services and also specific jobs. They are great at estimating prices and getting parts quickly. Recently I had my engine mount replaced and Mohammed showed me the old part which was clearly worn and needed replacing. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Midas and the team at Lower Hutt! :)

    It has been a big day. We stayed in Wellington last night with Janelle’s daughter, imagine my surprise when I discovered The Flat White had been stolen from outside their house in Lower Hutt. Not a good look, considering we were meant to be on the ferry 4 hrs later. We reported the theft to the cops and ‘detective Margot’ put up a post on the local Facebook page. 5 minutes later someone from two streets away posted, it was outside their house. What a lucky find! Only damage was a smashed ignition lock and all the tools , torches etc were gone. They couldn’t get the engine to start. Very lucky! Also very lucky, the bikes (and Dean’s ladder) were still there. We think they may have been interrupted. A quick call to the guys at Midas Lower Hutt and they came out and sorted the lock out and we got on our way to the ferry, just in time for the final check in! Thanks ‘Detective Margot’ and the guys at Midas Lower Hutt, you rock! Yep, it has been quite a morning . . . Cheers Brett
