   Where to begin :). I’ve been to so many mechanics in my life time since owning a vehicle and none has ever topped the exceptional service I received from Colin and his team at Midas porirua! Just absolutely amazing!! I had stopped at Midas Porirua on 20/08/25 to talk to them about my tyres and servicing my car. I dealt with the brilliant Colin!! He walked with me to my car to check my tyres as I was worried for all 4 tyres, he checked them and told me how to check tyres when it’s almost ready to be replaced, also told me only the front ones need to be replaced/most urgent, the back 2 still had a lot of time left in them. We then walked over to advance tyres and he talked to them to find me the right ones and best price. We then all agreed to change my tyres and service my car the next week. I came the next week to advance tyres but I spoke to Colin first to let him know I’ll have to do the car service the following week due to affordability, he advised that’s perfectly fine they work with their customers with what they can afford. After my tyres were done I then booked with Midas car service for the 12/08/25 which is today. Took my car bright and early to Midas and was greeted by Colin as I walked in. Advised him I could only afford a basic service today if that’s okay and he agreed that’s fine, he then worked out on his computer how much the end cost will be, I told I’ll pay for it then and I did, he said it should be done by the morning. An hour and half later I received a text to say service is complete. Went to pick up my car and Colin explained to me two issues 1. Is the steering rack starting to leak 2. The turbo hoses leaking engine oil and that’s the biggest issue. He explained the process of how it works within my vehicle and what further issues will be caused if not repaired. He also advised how much it may cost, he then explained what my next best step will be is to contact a Nissan Dealer and query the turbo issue as fault is not due to driver (me), he also looked online for me if there’s a recall as my Nissan is only 5 years old (2020). At this stage I’ve contacted a Nissan Dealer and they will get back to me, Colin advised me just take it one step at a time and we’ll go from there. I don’t know what else to say but thank you Colin and the team for caring so much for your customers especially during a difficult time our country is going through. You have no idea how much of a positive impact you’ve made, I always dread going to mechanics because I will always get the run around or get ripped off, you’re as straight up and honest as it gets, your whole team are and all I can say is THANK YOU MIDAS PORIRUA!

   Incredibly impressed. Colin went out of his way to assist me with a tricky part-sourcing enquiry and kept me in touch throughout the process. Listened to the issues I had with another firm and the hassle I had with getting a clear answer from them. Scanned my car and identified the problem without charge. I couldn't have been more impressed and I thoroughly recommend this company. I will be back without question. Excellent - above and beyond all my expectations.    Highly recommend! I brought my car to Midas for an exhaust alignment after installing an aftermarket exhaust that was causing an annoying rattling noise. Vinny went above and beyond to fix the underlying issue, and now I can drive confidently without the embarrassment of that noise! Huge shoutout to Vinny and Colin, who didn’t charge me a cent for their time and expertise - they simply said ‘Merry Christmas!’ Amazing service, skilled team, and such kindhearted people.    When I have booked my car into the other mechanics previously, I always expect a bill in the hundreds. However, this was not the case with Midas yesterday. I put a lot of trust with the people I hand my car over and with it I say I am clueless to knowing what is wrong with my car. Any who, a tighten of this here and there, topped up with the oil in the car and she was good to go. All sorted in a matter of hours. Thank you Colin and team. Made my week, $80 and I got to show my Asian mum that she can trust big brands because they have a name to live up to. A different perspective to the whole, its a big brand, it will cost more.

   Amazing service. I had my Prius showing hybrid system malfunction and I went to Midas Porirua around 5pm and a guy straight away looked at my car by plugging the scanner. He fixed the problem and didn’t even charge me for the time and effort. Great people. Highly recommended
