“I had a noise coming out of the cambelt and I had to travel far south to catch the ferry, it was right before Xmas and every other garage told me they were busy. Another mechanic saw it and told me that it would be needed to take everything apart. This guy had a look to it, got a bit of wd40, and told that wasn't a big deal, just a bearing, only listening to it. For now he's been right, and saved me a few grand.”

“First trial, was impressed by the reception staff who took the phone call. ( Previous call to opposition left me feeling very patronized!!) . Lightning Direct is attached to the WOF station on Brooklyn Rd. Good waiting time for work to be done. Given a fair quote for reasonable (jobs not kept up, for so long) assessed work that could be done in sections. Returned to complete one section. Very happy with the result. Plus chargers were a little under the quote. Second time back to the mechanics part, at Lightning Direct, also happy with the result. Additionally , a better payment for me as they didn't charge for what they didn't need to use. Appreciated that. Felt secure in dealing with the firm.”

I had driven to Hamilton from Te Awamutu and my car had overheated, so popped into Frankton Car Clinic to see if it was ok to drive home again. I had interrupted their morning tea break and they had a number of cars already in the bays, and yet they dropped everything, found the problem (needed a new thermostat) and arranged to get it repaired that day. We had an absolute pleasure of dealing with Brendan in the owners absence and it was honestly the best service we have ever received. It was an urgent situation where our break pads were essentially non existent and we were working on a project nearby. Brendan got our vehicle in early afternoon (immediately upon taking my call), ordered all the parts etc, changed them over and had the vehicle ready for our guys to drive back safely to Tauranga that evening. He was also incredibly kind with amazing customer service and the pricing was incredibly competitive! We'd been quoted almost double by a local company. It is such a shame we are not based closer to the business as we would move our entire fleet over to being serviced by Combined Auto. Thanks so much team you guys are amazing!”
