I've had my car for 2x years now and have taken it to multiple mechanics. Yet, since getting repairs from Pit Stop LH, my car has never been better?! Idk what type of magic they use.... but how good!!! They fixed my break pads and my car drives brand new. Thanks!!!!!
After a minor accident whilst travelling in a rental van (someone clipped my wing mirror off) I called into pitstop to get it sorted. Friendly & efficient service, HOWEVER, majorly disappointed with the price charged. $331 to replace a basic, manual, aftermarket wing mirror, one bolt. This is double what would been reasonable to charge. Felt taken advantage of - feels like staff have seen a tourist, a rental vehicle & obviously also see $$$ assuming it’ll be insurance paying. Unfortunately, not always the case…
These folks were so good! I'd been to two other mechanics previously for a service/investigation and they'd do the service, start investigating the issue I'd flagged and then just go, meh, looks like a sensor issue. Pit Stop were the first people to actually look past the surface and try to find the fault. They found it and repaired it in the space of a day for a reasonable price. Yeah my car is old enough to drink in the USA but that doesn't mean its issues are just age-related. Cheers pit stop! You'll be my go-to from now on!

I took my car in for a service and a bit of work at the Lower Hutt shop recently. Chris, a mechanic working for Pit Stop, did the work. He was quick—no fuss at all, and I was happy with the charges (I expected they would be higher). The car needs some more work; he’s finding out about parts, etc., and when it's ready, I’ll take it back. My experience with Pit Stop was A-1. Any work and/or when the WOF is due, I’ll be taking it back, easy-peasy! FM Jefferson
Jamie, Wayne and Chris are a great team who know their stuff. From past experience, if they don’t know what’s wrong they’ll research it until they figure out what’s causing the problem. They are thorough and will always keep you in the loop with what needs fixed and how much it’ll cost, as well as giving you a heads up for what will likely need replacing in the next service.
Along with the oil change I had the guys do an express service. It was great. Not only did they check the tyres they also put air in them for which I was especially grateful. These folk are pleasant and efficient to deal with so I will keep taking my car back there. Margaret H.
