“Been taking our car to Kapiti Motors for several years now. Dean is one of the "old school" mechanics. Easy to talk to, very knowledgeable, honest and trustworthy. We had our car booked in for a service but Dean had noticed that two of our tyres were not up to scratch and warned us NOT to travel on it as it was quite likely to blow. We were travelling to Tauranga the next day. He pays attention to every detail. So very grateful that we were advised before our long trip. Thank u Dean, Donna and the Kapiti Motors crew!”

“These folks were so good! I'd been to two other mechanics previously for a service/investigation and they'd do the service, start investigating the issue I'd flagged and then just go, meh, looks like a sensor issue. Pit Stop were the first people to actually look past the surface and try to find the fault. They found it and repaired it in the space of a day for a reasonable price. Yeah my car is old enough to drink in the USA but that doesn't mean its issues are just age-related. Cheers pit stop! You'll be my go-to from now on!”

I'm adding to this review because I was touched again by their super professionalism and friendliness. I went to their place late Friday afternoon urgently because of the alternator issue and told them that I would need to drive to Auckland Saturday. They figured out the issue instantly and tried very hard to source the parts for my car. “***I highly recommend Paul and the team at Challenge Pauatahanui*** - excellent customer service - community focused values and support - good prices, especially with the card - they stock Maycey’s packet lollies (smokers, jelly beans etc) For a good couple of years we lived in this area and they became our local gas station. Everyone there is so friendly and welcoming especially Paul and his daughter's. They have a real sense of community about them and always took the time to banter and have a laugh. My heavily tattooed partner can often be misjudged because of his looks but not here - they got to know him well and he’s always appreciated that! They are huge pillar in the community and I have so much admiration for their support with community fundraisers and promoting local businesses. There are very few people and businesses like this anymore which is so sad when once upon a time it was the norm. So we must show our support and appreciation by choosing their services wherever we can. Thank you Paul and team so much for all you do and your amazing service! We'll definitely be back whenever we’re up those ways :D”
