Ordering was a breeze (thanks Rosie!!) the food arrived faster than my typical “fast food” visit, and the atmosphere at the quiz was like I was playing The Chase with Bradley Walsh. Staff is so friendly and lovely, the garden bar is a really cool spot to hang out on a nice day (and dog friendly !) and the gorilla burgers are really yummy. “Stopped here recently for a Quick brunch on a Saturday morning and I was blown away for more than one reason - courteous staff, quick service, great indoor and outdoor ambience and most importantly tasty food. Walked in- immediately greeted and seated. Ordered sourdough bread with spicy scrambled eggs and coffee. Initial thoughts - pricey. But when the order came through, I must admit it was worth every penny. It was a visual treat and tasted amazing. A humble dish elevated to a whole new level and generous portions. Needless to say - I literally cleaned up my plate. Will definitely come back. Highly recommend this place.”

“Great rooftop bar on Lambton Quay (upstairs) We went for lunch, sat out on the balcony and ordered the Korean fried chicken, skin on fries and club sandwiches. The service was fast and friendly, the food was delicious and the balcony had a great view of Lambton Quay.”

“If you become a member there you can get a discount on food and drink. Atmosphere was pretty chill when i went down but they do usually always have something going on weather it be a band or karaoke etc. Food was on point I had the ribeye steak with all the sides, staff were lovely. Wheelchair accessible kid friendly, they have a small timezone area out in the atrium. Be AWARE you need to be a member or with a member to drink alcohol there but anybody from the public can eat food there. Always a great go to when I need a steak meal”

“I recently visited Cafe Figg with my family and had an absolutely delightful experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a charming ambiance. “We have been to this cafe so many times. I love the outdoors, it has nice area outside where you can sit and enjoy your drinks and meals. I always feel this place is a bit pricey but still like the vibe of the cafe. Service is okay, there are times when we have to request staff to clean table. Other than that staff are always polite and helpful. I enjoy their milkshakes, coffees are okay.”

“Had the 8-course tasting dinner with wine pairing and it was such a great experience. Every dish was packed with flavour and looked amazing on the plate — you could tell a lot of thought went into the menu. Some combinations really surprised me, like the beetroot carpaccio with macadamia crusted feta, and the smoked eel with caviar — so good! The wines were perfectly matched to each course, starting with a crisp Champagne and ending with a bold Pinotage. It really brought out the flavours of the food. Service was spot on — the team were friendly, easy to talk to, and kept the evening feeling relaxed but still special. We never felt rushed, and everything flowed nicely from one course to the next. Left feeling full, happy, and impressed. Would absolutely recommend this to anyone who enjoys great food, wine, and a memorable night out.”

“We had a function at Flamingo Joe's and it was really excellent. Nice food (set menu), very reasonably priced and great service. They accommodated all dietary needs and were super flexible. It's a fun venue with a lot of atmosphere - we booked out the restaurant space which was perfect for our needs. Highly recommend for any functions at all, both in terms of value for money and for a good night out on the waterfront.”

“First time visiting for lunch on a Thursday & the place was packed. You definitely need to make a reservation & wait to be seated. Once you have your table, you need to get back up into the queue to place your order but the staff are fast & efficient and it doesn’t take too long. Meals came out in good timing considering how busy it was & they were delicious with GF noodle options.”

“We booked for our daughter’s birthday dinner with a group of 9 and nothing was too much trouble. We had a lovely table with a fantastic view of the water and the staff even offered to keep our cake in the chiller until after our meal. The food was delicious and the portions were more than adequate with everyone stuffed at the end. We ordered the bao buns which had a lovely little chilli kick to them, and Korean fried chicken was an absolute favourite as was the pita with roast pepper hummus which was so delicious. We were even able to take leftovers home with us which was an added bonus! Can’t wait to come back.”

“Wow had the most amazing delicious meal in a beautiful warm environment. Our server a young Indian man was ever so helpful and attentive to our needs especially for my mum who has a sore back he brought out extra cushions for her comfort. My mum wanted to take me and my son to brunch and I'm so glad we visited this fine establishment in raumati will definitely visit again !we ordered 5 spice braised pork belly mash potatoes veges my son ordered smashed avocado egg beetroot hummus on ciabatta toast my mum has sirloin steak medium rare cooked to perfection, chips and salad”
