“I think it would have to be the best mitre 10 mega in the county. Im from Auckland but was doing repairs to my house in Tauranga . Your staff are just amazing .especially the two ladies named SHONA & ROBYN .They went out of there way to find every items i needed and also pointed out what would work best . I have a lot more work to do to the house and apartment but will only go to Mitre 10 Mega from now on . Those ladies should have a payrise ! Awesome experience at your store. Cheers Gerry”

“Recently Maui at the Seafood counter went absolutely over and above to make sure I had a fresh kingfish to fulfil an order I made. He was professional, kind and did such a wonderful job not only filleting and skinning the fish, but making sure I got a fish that was the correct size for my needs. Im very greatful, as I had already enquired multiple other places before I was able to find someone who could fulfil the order. Thank you Maui! Pak n Save Tauranga as a whole has a great selection of everything, and great prices. :)”

They might not have the range of products that warehouse stationery has or PB Technologies, but they make up for it in pricing and customer service. Definitely going back to see Pawan when i need more replacement ink for my printer.”

It's certainly not just New World, but the price of pumpkins is just absolutely horrendously ridiculous and unjustifiable. Sadly, there'll be no roast pumpkin this Christmas . . . New World Gate Pa though, a real asset to Tauranga. Love the shop, love the staff.”

“Every time I have visited this location, the staff are super helpful. And that is coming from a techy electrical engineer/sales engineer who knows a lot about this kind of stuff and usually wants to be left to shop alone, but the staff are not overly pushy and genuinely helpful. Also coming from someone who worked computer/electronic retail for almost 15 years in the states. So when I say this store is doing the right thing the right way, that comes from a lot of experience. Most recently I stopped in to purchase a simple item, just a stove cook top for some rural cooking on a holiday vacation, I even knew what I wanted of course. There were none in stock for the one I truly wanted, it happens, and I didn't have time to go or choose somewhere else, so when the woman approached me about needing any help, and confirmed they were out of stock with what I wanted initially. I felt good that I could pivot to something similar, and in the end a bit closer to what I needed anyway. Overall, she helped me settle on something else, confirmed pricing and brought out the item from the back to purchase at the front desk. I wasn't harped about extended warranties, etc which I don't personally buy with these commodity items, and usually self repair if I even deem it worth it or necessary. Purchased easy enough and went on with my packing for the trip that day. Would definitely come back. I haven't visited the Mount Maunganui location lately, but as far as this experience goes, it was above the quality of the times I have visited the Mount location. Not by a lot, just enough to be noticeable. Though maybe that location has improved as well. Whatever you are doing, keep up the great work.”

“Don't usually go in here to shop but was in the area so hopped in for some GF things with my okker son. Oh my ... Yr bakery has a huge range of all the things we're NOT allowed to eat. If their prices weren't so high in there, I would def get my grocs there, but alas way too expensive. Love the shop itself though as it's clean and signage is gd. Large range of lots of items. Any chance Countdown you could drop those prices by at least 20% ?”

“I bought a fridge/freezer and asked for it to be delivered/installed and the old one removed. I was really impressed with the delivery team's careful, friendly and smooth-running service. It was a bit of a tight fit in a couple of areas getting my fridge up the stairs but there was no drama from them, and their carefulness with my fridge and house was excellent and appreciated.”

“During a sale we purchased an air fryer, due in store stock levels the model we chose was dispatched from the warehouse and delivered to our home. Prior to the unit arriving we had second thoughts about the model we had chosen. We called it to the store and explained the situation, not a problem we’ll sort things out when the unit arrives the assistant told us. The fryer arrived and we duly took in to the store for an exchange. What breath of fresh air it was no problem for the assistant to do the paperwork and exchange units.
