A very good New World in handy Gate Pa. Could be even better if upped the quality of bread baking, the sourdough was just a soft white loaf with no sour going on.
The deli staff in this supermarket are lazy. They have no desire what so ever to serve you as a customer. I am totally over this supermarket, so now I am shopping elsewhere.
Today I buy a mud cake from bakery, then get home and find its stale. The cake was packed Friday 28.11.25 four days ago, and declared best before 05.12.25 a total shelf life of 8days (unfrozen) why are you selling me stale cake New World Gate Pa. Aussie beef mixed with Kiwi beef ect your becoming more absurd by the day. Do better!
17/08/25 12.17pm Asked the head checkout woman if the Pork roast i scanned was on special, because the self check out machine didn't show this! She said it doesn't show it... but it is what it is! Very blunt and rude manner then walked away while i was still querying this. Left feeling disappointed and angry at her actions.! And I thought New World supermarkets were better than this! Will be a last choice grocery store for me now!!
Beautiful revamp of the store happening. Looks really inviting and a great layout. Checkout staff are really friendly and helpful. It's certainly not just New World, but the price of pumpkins is just absolutely horrendously ridiculous and unjustifiable. Sadly, there'll be no roast pumpkin this Christmas . . . New World Gate Pa though, a real asset to Tauranga. Love the shop, love the staff.
This New World is Awesome. They have great staff, they are friendly and helpful. there is one manager on Sunday that is not good do not go Sundays.
Superb!! I like the club card deals..its not much but, every cent counts when you do one weeks groceries like I do. I do my main shopping here, I also like swapping my flybuy points for my clubcard, it helps out when I spend over my budget. 5β
Great products and friendly helpful staff always make the experience enjoyable even though this is not the main shop we use we love coming here
Great customer service experience. Very catchy display especially for fresh produce aisles. They delivered their promises for providing the fresh produce with reasonable prices.
