“My daughter and I recently attended the Girl Powa Adventure Day and had the best day! The weather was perfect and Pirongia Lodge is a stunning location. The activities were so much fun and the time allowed for each was just right. We got to try things we otherwise wouldn't, and I found out that my daughter is amazing at rock climbing! The group sizes were ideal and we appreciated that we were in a group with teens of a similar age. Our group had really bonded by the end of the day. It was so neat to see one of the teens in our group who was afraid of heights overcome her fears. Once she had done the zipline once there was no stopping her! We can't wait for the next event.”

“I have just come home from a great day with Earth Scientist Dr Megan Balks on one of Greta's fabulous tours. We started in Hamilton with a brief explanation of New Zealand geological history, the Waikato Basin, the Waikato River and the impacts of the Taupo 132AD eruptions. We then drove through the Waikato and were shown many examples of evidence of this history, ending in Raglan. “The only way it could have been better was if the river magically became longer and if they take notice of a minor safety observation. On our scheduled day the river level was too high to raft but we lucked out and were able to move our schedule around and still make it work two days later. our trip started with the water levels at the highest level allowed. It was intense very quick and it stayed that way. Our guides were great. The Safety briefings to the point and brief. Rafts in great shape. Gear is great although i did see a broken paddle blade in use on our raft which makes that paddle a bit more deadly. We flipped the landing on the large waterfall and then somehow i ended up with the broken paddle which i felt better about as now the dangerous paddle was in my control. It is Memorable. A must do. Their photo team did a great job too. We purchased our pics!”
