We had an amazing tour today, being hosted by Tony and Mafi! It almost felt like the dolphins knew the boat and their expert skippers, and therefore came by to show their faces;) (Instead of being chased by some boats.) Next to the dolphins, we saw heaps of seals, a penguin, and Toni even caught a fish within 5 seconds to show whats swimming deeper in the sea! Would 100% recommend for you to go on a tour with them!
Incredible tour exploring an amazing part of the coast. It was great having such an small, intimate group onboard and Tony and Mafi were very generous with their local knowledge. An absolute highlight of our trip around the south island!
By far the best tour that I did. Compared with other tours this one is way more intimate with a smaller group size and plenty of space to unwind on board and get the best picture. I could move freely on board and switch positions depending on what I wanted to see or to do. I am grateful this tour respected the animals and didn’t charge after them. The dolfins knew it was safe and came to play alongside the ship. Very kind and mindful crew. Happy to have participated. Recommend 100%.
We had an awesome morning around Akaroa Harbour and the nearby coastline with Tony & Mafi. They made us feel very welcome and gave us lots of interesting facts and stories about the area. They were great hosts and it was a great experience. Highly recommend!
Fantastic experience! Tony and Mafi are awesome and very knowledgeable my daughter and myself had a great afternoon seeing seals, penguins and hector dolphins!

We had the most amazing trip today, Tony was friendly and knowledgeable and put everyone at their ease. He was very accommodating and adapted the tour according to the conditions to make it a comfortable trip for everyone. We saw amazing scenery, caves, cliffs, dolphins, penguins, jellyfish and many sea birds - I feel incredibly lucky to have found Coast Up Close.
