“I have been here a few times but never posted a review before. Lovely food. Very tasty and flavourful. Spring rolls, curry puffs, prawn Penang curry, spicy fried rice, pad Thai and steamed rice. Portion size was meh but this is not your regular Chinese takeaway so don’t expect the same. Overall great food and good service”
“After reading positive reviews about this restaurant, my partner and I decided to give it a try. It exceeded our expectations. The portions were generous, the flavors were delicious, and the prices were reasonable given the quality of service and food. We ordered a mixed appetizer, the red curry, and the stir-fried beef marinated in a flavorful sauce.”
“I arrived and was greeted straight away. It’s a small restaurant, but it didn’t feel too cramped. We ordered spicy fried rice and spicy noodles with chicken. The food arrived in good time and was very tasty, with nice fresh veggies and noodles/rice perfectly cooked. I highly recommend this place for a great Thai meal. I returned two more nights and ordered the spicy noodles, too. Asian spicy was perfect. I've combined all There are three reviews in this one”
“Amazing quality food. Nice and relaxing atmosphere. My fav local restuant. :)”
“Exceptionally good quality food. Great place to eat and have a good time. Friendly staff.”
“Had a great meal here. By the time we left the restaurant was full, so I would recommend reservations. I ordered a dish off the menu and asked if they could modify it substantially, which they did, not all restaurants are this accommodating. My friends and I thought the food was delicious and was prepared to the individually requested spice level, which is always important Highly recommended”
“Love this local gem in Tawa. Reasonably priced with huge portions. Food is delicious and service fantastic. BYO.”
“The BEST chinese we have had in a very long time. Very authentic and yummy! Good size portions, amazing service from staff who were happy to chat and engage in conversation and a few laughs. Even went out of their way to make a special honey chicken dish which wasn't on the menu. Alcohol prices were also very good and not over priced. Had a beautiful dinner and who ABSOLUTELY recommend!!”
“This is as good as it gets. Really good Chinese food. Authentic Chinese and kiwi favourites as well. Nice, friendly service. Bathroom has had a major, much needed upgrade. In fact the whole place has been upgraded. We will definitely be back. From the way that the other customers (four different groups, two Chinese, two kiwi) related to the staff, you could tell that they weren't there their first time. It's a good sign when customers come back. We had the curry chicken, cha shao pork (much bigger dish than in the menu photo), Fu Yong egg (omelette thingy) and stir fried veggies. All delicious.”
“We started our trip in South Island, New Zealand by having dinner in here. During our 2 weeks trip, this is the best Thai restaurant we ever had. Before we fly back to our home, we finished our trip by having another dinner. Red curry fish and sweet chilly fish are very recommended as well as the Tom yum soup. The staffs are very kind.”
“I eat here at least once a week. I’m a real big supporter of Thai food and I must say the food is absolutely delicious, it’s well priced and the customer service is absolutely first class.”
“High quality very nice. Good service, clean area, kind staff, excellent food, fast serving times. Definitely recommend this place to eat at. We had a completely vegan dinner and it was beyond good — great noodles, and HIGHLY recommend getting the green curry.”
“Highly recommend, such tasty food, I had the Black Bean Chicken and my wife the Cashew Chicken, absolutely loved it. Friendly staff, thank you so much!”

“Hankering for some Thai food led our group here. The photos sold us! Very busy restaurant that happily accommodated us last minute, We had the mussiman curry, tom yum soup and prawn veggies. All of enjoyed our meals, and the bustling atmosphere. It’s BYO but we brought our drinks there. Highly recommend”
“Small takeaway place with the best food around. The prices are great and the taste is amazing. I have been a regular customer for a while now. Will definitely recommend the place to anyone who wants to get Thai food at a wallet friendly price. Also, they do sustainable packaging.”
“Delicious and really fresh food, quick option for a takeaway and reasonably cheap. In my opinion just need some update on the dining in area as have the option for that in the restaurant itself aside of that a good option of Thai takeaway at Papanui road.”
“Truly tasty food! Recently discovered them and highly recommend. We tried a few of their dishes and our favourite are the money bags enter! So fresh and tasty. Service is awesome and a great deal for the price.”
“First time diners after recently moving to the area, we had 1 guest who is gluten free. Pre booked and very accommodating for our food allergy diner. The food was amazing, everyone ordered a different dish and each one full of deep flavourful and well balanced. The menu has so many delicious sounding options we will definitely be back time and time again”

“I ordered 3 mains (beef penang, chicken green curry, and tofu pad see ew) and two entrees (tomyum) for three of us and the portions were so massive we had heaps of leftovers! The food is clean, fresh, and absolutely delicious with generous vegetables, spices/herbs, nuts, and meat. I found this place by scrolling through community pages and very happy I did. The lady who served me was super friendly and elegantly handled my requests (I always ask for half sugar at any Thai place), and all dishes were considerately packaged, and best of all, ready within 10 minutes of ordering over the phone. My new favourite Thai takeout, will go back very soon to try the larb gai, thank you thank you, khap kun kha!”

“Ive been here a few times and each brings me back! I love a good Larb Salad, and theirs is very good!!! But the star today was the Chiang Mai noodles. OMG it was amazing. Khao Soi is the actual name for this particular curry, but it comes from northern Thailand, and reminded me of my visit to Chiang Mai, hence the name! I must have this again!!!! Im trying to add a photo, but so far cant....”
“Very pleasant and quick and attentive service. Food tasted really good though a little lacking in portion size for the higher prices here. The interior fit out was modern and yet very calming and serene for a late-night dinner. Customer service process was efficient and tables and seating were very clean. Parking was easy to find. Support your local small business!”
