I’ve been here twice now, and my second visit was undoubtedly disappointing. The waitstaff were incredibly rude and unprofessional. They walked around whispering things like β€œDo you need more water?” and when customers (understandably) didn’t hear them, they pulled judgemental faces and shrugged in a passive-aggressive way. It made the whole atmosphere really uncomfortable. I came in a large group, and as someone who also works in hospitality, I understand that big tables can be stressful. But treating customers like an inconvenience is unacceptable. Even if the staff felt ignored or overlooked, that’s no excuse for such unkind and dismissive behaviour. The actual shop was quite nicely decorated with cultural items. But after being treated such way, I definitely won’t be coming back.

Thai Restaurant on the main street of Howick. Good selection on the menu, with curries, stir fry, pad thai, salads etc. The entrΓ©es combo is good value and the curry puff pastry was really fluffy. They also have a kids menu, but not of Thai options, more nuggets and fish. Good size portions, but price on the higher side. Rice is $3 per person

We were invited by my sister for a lunch at this restaurant. She has been here several times and we now understand she likes it here. A great selection of dishes to choose from. Some of us had one of their options from the set lunch options incl. a drink. And two ordered from the entree options. The service was prompt and friendly and all of our chosen meals were very good.

Had dine in meal 2 weeks ago. 1 vegan stir fry dish, 1 cashew chicken vege stir fry dish, 1 white wine and 1 serve of rice (which equalled 2 spoonfuls) and the cost was $80. The flavour of the vegan stir fry was very bland. More salty than anything. Service was good. As in they were not rude and it was prompt. I guess the cost of food really has skyrocketed. Unfortunately I’m not in a hurry to return even though it’s a local restaurant.

Second time myself and my partner have come here with friends. The first time went well, tasty food although on the pricy side. However we came again tonight and have had some issues in terms of allergens. My partner specifically asked for no onion or mushrooms as they make her quite ill. And in the past this has been respected, the restaurant does have signage pointing to the importance of allergens and cross contamination. Unfortunately around 1/3rd into her meal, she started finding mushrooms, and later onions. It was difficult to make out at first that there was mushrooms or onion due to it being a curry but at this point the damage has already been done. Thankfully she is not anaphylactic, but is now spending a very painful evening and will most likely need to take the day off work tomorrow from the resulting migraine and stomach issues. She decided not to bring it up to the staff, as there was nothing that could be done from that point, and isn't one to demand a free meal. Aside from the issue with the food, the staff were very friendly and helpful and always made sure our water was full, and even clarified if we would like our entrees before or with our mains. The restaurant was very clean and had a nice atmosphere and we will most likely return, as the food is tasty, but will be a lot more firm when ensuring the food is fine for her to eat.

Amazing food tonight! Portions sizes were great and well worth the price. I counted 9 scallops in my main after I had indulged in a few mouthfuls. Delicious

I was in Howick around lunch time so I came here to get some takeaways. You are able to order online but I ordered there since I was that prepared. It was easy enough to order at the counter. It was about a 15-minute wait for 4 dishes and an entree. the food was nice. The mixed entree had a bit of everything, the satay was quite nice. The duck noodles had plenty of duck in them and had a sweet and sour sauce. The larb gai and the massaman beef were also nice. My favourite of the lot was the Moo wan, sliced pork cooked in a sweet sauce. The macadamias added a bit of crunch to it too. The sauce with rice by itself was quite tasty. It was a nice place for Thai food. It has some similar items and some which are different, which is a nice change.

Had a great meal here. By the time we left the restaurant was full, so I would recommend reservations. I ordered a dish off the menu and asked if they could modify it substantially, which they did, not all restaurants are this accommodating. My friends and I thought the food was delicious and was prepared to the individually requested spice level, which is always important Highly recommended
