“Pak’nSave Westgate is a newer and tidier branch that still sticks to the chain’s signature no-frills vibe. It’s built for budget shoppers, but it feels a bit more modern compared to some of the older locations. If you’re in the West Auckland area, it’s one of the better options when it comes to balancing affordability with a clean, roomy shopping experience. The store is spacious, well laid out, and usually well-stocked. Aisles are wide, which helps with the flow of foot traffic even during peak hours. It’s still a very practical setup — shelves packed high, lots of bulk products, and nothing fancy in terms of presentation — but everything’s easy to find. Prices are, as always with Pak’nSave, the main draw. You can save quite a bit here, especially on pantry staples, meat, and cleaning products. The produce section is usually decent, with a good range of fruit and veg, though the freshness can still vary day to day. The meat section offers plenty of variety at a decent price point, and the bakery’s got all the basics — bread, rolls, and the usual treats. Staff are generally helpful if you approach them, though it’s still a self-service kind of environment. Don’t expect heaps of interaction, but they’ll assist you if you ask. The checkout area is usually well-staffed, and self-service options are available for smaller shops. Queues move fairly quickly even when it’s busy. Parking is pretty good at Westgate. There’s plenty of space, and it’s easy to get in and out of the carpark compared to other branches. Being part of a large shopping complex also means you can tick off other errands while you’re in the area. Just like other Pak’nSaves, you might find some differences between what’s online and what’s actually in store, so it’s best to shop with a bit of flexibility. Overall, Pak’nSave Westgate is a strong performer. It’s clean, spacious, and reliable for those who want to get a big shop done without overspending. It’s still a no-frills setup, but it feels a little more polished than the older branches, which makes for a smoother experience all round.”

I bought a pair of hiking boots online at clearance price but the size wasn’t right and so called up the store to check if they have the size for me. Sam answered the call and managed to find one for me (thankfully!) Hurried into the store at lunch time and Sam greeted me with a big smile and assisted me with the size check, shoes swap and everything was just a breeze! Great service from you! “Have bought multiple items from this place and they have all been well priced and great quality. All pieces have come with tools and extra screws. Book shelves are loaded with books and there is no warp in the shelves. Coffee table was a bit tricky to build. I'd happily purchase from them again.”

I don’t need to buy much but decided to order through you for some Christmas shopping. I had a delightful experience. I opted to collect my items and didn’t have to wait any longer than a minute!!! “I don’t typically enjoy stepping foot inside a Hallensteins store as I find it is often filed with grubby teen lads, and I often don’t find clothing I would like to wear. However, I was more than impressed by the Lambton quay hallensteins. Particular note must be made of the lighting quality in the changing rooms. Doubled my shop time by simply staring at myself in the mirror. Copped 2 very nice t-shirts as well for a handy 2 for $50 deal! TLDR: worth going just to admire yourself in the changing rooms mirrors”

Most people would have shaken their heads and put it in the "too hard" basket. Not Jas. She rang Australia, spoke to the store that had the shoes, and arranged for me to order them online to make sure that I got them. Then...she rang me a few days later to see how I had got on.
