“Staying in our motorhome we must say we were impressed. From the check ✅ in, with Kirsten, and the advice and help we received from the start. A beautiful Holiday Park with everything so clean and tidy. The playground too, is well thought out for childrens pleasure during their stay. Very handy to the beach and rolling surf, our two small dogs were in heaven when we all went down to the sand. It is fantastic that the dogs are allowed to be with us on holiday during the off season. The showers were nice and hot water aplenty. A friendly little bunny was not at all worried about two highly excited dogs because it sat just outside their wire fenced yard and teased them. In all a great place to stay and we will be back. “Very helpful team at reception, gave a calming spray to our cat. The vet was very thorough, asked a lot of questions to understand the issue. The consultation cost was ok, but the two drugs prescribed - WOW! Anyway, the cat is definitely more comfortable today. Thanks Franklin Vets.”

“MicroMed spray has been an ideal preventative intervention for my German Shepherd. As soon as I see him biting or licking a spot, I use the spray. 9/10 it will clear up before I have to do anything else. It is also good for when there is a hotspot, to help him pay less attention to it alongside shaving/cropping the fur so it can heal.”

“Friendly and knowledgeable staff. The DIY pet wash is super popular and you can end up waiting. My advice would be to go during the week if you can. If its not busy, you can get an extra token if you have the unlimited wash for $99.”

“Beautiful place, beautiful staff, great customer service, and great prices. Our rottweiler had hydrotherapy for the first time.It's definitely worth doing it. She had an injury a couple of months ago. The hydrotherapy helped her to use her injured leg and will get her leg strong again. DIY wash included with hydrotherapy(that's an extra point). We took our other dog also for a DIY wash, great set-up, and shampoo. Thanks heaps. We will be back for hydrotherapy and dog wash next week.”

“Franklin Vets Waiuku is by far the best veteranarian clinic I have been to in years. The way they care about the animals and the pet parents is outstanding. The receptionists are lovely and very thoughtful and always make me feel comfortable. The veterinarians are really nice and very informative. I would not take either of my pets to another clinic”

I was a bit undecided on the carrot snacks for horses and if they would be okay for my dog. Well, she absolutely loves them and they are made with real ingredients, no 'nasties'. :) If she starts to 'neigh' I might have to rethink my treats :)”

“Came in today to put my cat down who I’ve had my whole life. She was 18 years old and it was time to make the decision. For a 140 liter tank I was looking at a price around $200 but went to Rodney's tropicals and paid $132 for a custom glass tank that is strong and also looks very tidy. Very happy with the tank and also looking forward to selecting fish from here as they have a large selection at a great price. Strongly recommend visiting this store.”

“These guys know how to get repeat business. They do everything right (in my book), and completely worthy of their high rating. Their service is impeccable. The location is handy, in the Central Parade block of shops just down from New World and Z petrol station. Easy drive in, most the time grabbing a park close by or out the front. They have a great menu covering all your kiwi fish n chip classics, burgers and Chinese selections we’ve come to expect in NZ. Their online ordering system is super quick and easy to use. Added bonus, a 10% discount coupon for online orders over $15 ✅ Even if you don’t order online, you won’t be waiting long. Did I mention they do coffee too? And free wifi (NZ establishments are mostly slow on that one). Our favourites for Friday night takeaways; Gurnard or Terakihi which comes in a light batter with a hint of lemon and herb salt. Always fresh. Good chunky chips, a cheeky hot dog and spring roll always go down a treat. Their Nasi Goreng is the best Ive had in NZ, and their wonton or dumpling noodle soup too. Its 5-stars all the way from me. I recommend Central coast takeaway to anybody who asks which is what spurred me to write a review. Credit where credit is due as Nan always said, and these guys deserve the credit… best takeaways in the Bay!”

Every check up, the vet has been so gentle with my cat, as well as thoroughly informative & considerate of my budget.
