“Had a straightforward experience with Christchurch Accommodation while living at one of their units for 1 year in central Christchurch. Communication was easy, quick and clear. “Small town quiet escape off the beaten catch. The rooms were very nice, especially the master bedroom which offered great space and sitting area. John and Jenny were Accomdating and cooked a great breakfast. The immaculate garden, sheep in the backyard, and mountain in the distance made the stay memorable. No credit card payment.”

“Didn't stay, just visited. Lovely people, welcoming, will go the extra mile. Rooms are what you'd imagine in a fairy tale! Pretty, luxurious, lovely colours, sumptuous looking beds, bathrooms amazing. Rex is a fantastic cook, dinning room looks out to front, main road, lounge with comfortable sofa & chairs, fire place, decor rich & colorful, situated in middle of house with doors to a veranda for outside relaxing. This is a lovely old Villa, high ceilings, long entrance hallway with decor to match & Linda's art work gracing the upper walls. If you want something different than modern, this is it! They have regulars visiting, & even folk who work for a while in the area will live there. Enjoy.”

“Absolutely beautiful studio. Our room was impeccable and the view was gorgeous. My only comment for Keith is that a new bed in Apt 1 is a necessity. It’s on its last legs. Other than that the apartment is perfect. Then management is responsive and accommodating. I’d give 6 stars if not for the bed.”

Great place, it's a lovely old character place that has been done up with new bathrooms, kitchen etc. Clean, good facilities/furnishings and warm (heating throughout). Fairly priced too unlike some places that charge more and aren't as nice. Would stay again when travelling through and recommend to others.”

“We had the house with huge windows, a large deck, large rooms, a fireplace and a peaceful view of the inlet. Great place to destress. No service was provided and none had been expected or promised.”

“John was an excellent host and the place was incredible. The views were absolutely epic and we enjoyed visiting the beach and dunes. If you’re looking for a remote area to stay, this is it. It is about an hour from Auckland. I recommend visiting Rotorua, as well as PIha beach if you have the time. So awesome. I’ll probably never be back because I live 16 hours away via airplane but the memories I had were once in a lifetime. Thanks John, I hope to see you one day again. “I have stayed here multiple times and have enjoyed the time I spent here, it's almost like my home away from home. Your never cold with a full central heating system to keep you warm on those bitter cold nights.”

“My Wife and I stayed at the Cobb Cottage on our wedding night and were blown away by the beautiful place and friendly service. We were greeted with a candle-lit atmosphere, (good) bottle of bubbles, good sized chocolate desserts and fresh baked bread. The Cottage was very clean and tidy and fitted out in a beautiful way that makes the entire place a piece of artwork. In the morning a fresh loaf of bread and hot tea were left for us on the outside table. Found in the fridge were a variety of drinks and the ingredients (and recipe) for a fantastic smoothee. We enjoyed this out of the sunny deck where it is easy to relax for the whole day. The way the place is arranged, the house and grounds are nicely private. We really would recommend this to anyone and wish we had booked in for longer. Looking forward to heading back one day!”

“This is a beautiful house with wonderful hosts. Carole was extremely welcoming with lots of positive energy despite just having knee surgery. Mace was also a very warm person and between them they run an excellent B&B. Recommended restaurants in the area which was much appreciated. Would highly recommend staying here.”

Once we arrived we felt right at home as the place was lovely, clean beautifully designed and the views are outstanding I don’t think those views can be beaten anywhere in the world. Sue and Gus were fabulous hosts. We were even able to hire Gus to take us around the island in his Cadillac. What an experience that was. This is my second visit and I am ready to book again as you really cannot unwind and relax like you can at Nikau Apt. We were a group of kiwis, Aussies and Americans so managed to rent out both the 1 & 2 bedroom places. I recommend this as the place to be, and cannot wait to come back.”

“Awesome experience! Amazing locations with incredible views and very close by to all the main attractions of the island - but you definitely do need a car. Wood burning stove outside to keep you toasty in the evening and super fun wild / camping weekend! Charlie was absolutely delightful and so helpful! Would definitely recommend this place!”
