100% recommended. Loveliest place you can imagine with friendly, caring hosts. Definitely get breakfast made from their farm grown ingredients. Alistaire and Suzy are incredible hosts with a true passion for sustainable living.
We stayed one night in the french room while traveling between coromandel and Hamilton. I wish we stayed here longer than quick overnight trip; the room was very comfortable, and we woke up to the most beautiful sounding birds. Very serene and would stay again if in the area. Alistair the owner was so kind and helpful with recommendations.
A little different for me, a lovely old style, but new room. Heated tiles in the bathroom was a nice touch. My work colleague stayed in another room that was brand new with a super king bed. Lovely older couple running it,
Very friendly owners, amazing price for the value. You get your own piece of heaven. Not to mention one of the best breakfast meals I have ever had delivered to my door. Plus, Gandolf stayed there during the filming of Lord of the Rings, so it's a must stay if your a fan. I highly recommend this place :). I was blessed to stay there.
This place was amazing. My only regret was that I didn't get to send more time with our host. They built everything in the Earth House, elegant and comfortable, the epitome of sustainable meets style. I was inspired and dream of seeing more places like this one day.
My Wife and I stayed at the Cobb Cottage on our wedding night and were blown away by the beautiful place and friendly service. We were greeted with a candle-lit atmosphere, (good) bottle of bubbles, good sized chocolate desserts and fresh baked bread. The Cottage was very clean and tidy and fitted out in a beautiful way that makes the entire place a piece of artwork. In the morning a fresh loaf of bread and hot tea were left for us on the outside table. Found in the fridge were a variety of drinks and the ingredients (and recipe) for a fantastic smoothee. We enjoyed this out of the sunny deck where it is easy to relax for the whole day. The way the place is arranged, the house and grounds are nicely private. We really would recommend this to anyone and wish we had booked in for longer. Looking forward to heading back one day!
