“My 9-year-old daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Drawing & Sketching class (Tue 3:45-5:15) with Maree. Learning to depict objects with pencil sketching added a technical dimension to her artistic skills. It was a great class for a 9-year-old who loves drawing, providing more advanced content rather than simplistic children's drawings. This class is highly recommended for kids who love drawing and want to boost their skills.”

“I tried out the great new kitchen in Anastasis Coffee Roasters. It’s an interesting mix of Chinese/ Taiwanese, Mexican and American street food with baos, birria, fried chicken and churros on the menu. I had forgotten how good baos were and these got me back hooked with great flavours and textures. The tacos are as good as any other birria tacos I've tasted in Auckland and the fried chicken had just the right amount of spice kick and comes with dipping sauce. There's some seating inside and an outdoor area outback with string lighting. Great vibe. They are also looking to get a liquor license and other offerings in the future. The current kitchen hours different to the coffee store openings are Wednesday 11am-2pm and Thursday to Saturday 11am - 2pm, 5pm - 9pm. Definitely worth stopping by and trying out.”

“Tucked away in an inconspicuous side street. Menu is limited but exactly what you want, with very reasonable pricing. I had a 16 oz iced matcha latte with soy milk, and it was perfect. Mellow, slight earthy, and a touch of sweetness coming through from the soy milk. It’s one of the best street matchas I’ve tried.”

“This was our first stop after landing in New Zealand, and it set a great tone for the trip. The space has a relaxed, stylish atmosphere, filled with greenery—including an impressive tree right in the center—that makes it feel warm and inviting. We ordered the pork banh mi and a cà phê sữa đá. The banh mi stood out for its flavorful pâté and excellent house chili, both of which added real depth to the sandwich. The coffee was brewed with a traditional phin filter, which I appreciated, though the overall flavor didn’t quite come together for me. Even so, the visit was a memorable and enjoyable introduction to New Zealand’s food scene.”

“My fourth visit here, this time with family to try the spring menu. We had the pear and honey special with focaccia, lamb shoulder pappardelle and the cacio e pepe. Everything was so yum, but the pappardelle was the standout for me. The staff were, as always, warm and helpful with great recommendations from the specials and wine menu. Always a great experience, and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s on the next seasonal menu!”

He found some recommendations, I ordered, and the bottles were delivered the next day which also happened to be Monday, Queen's Birthday. So much to choose from, but of course I had to give the classic eggs benny a go, it def didn’t end up classic at all! Perfectly poached eggs on a herb hash brown, delicious sauces. Highly recommended! Perfect mocha & banana loaf to end our celebratory meal. Would def go back to try the rest of the menu. Check this lovely eatery out for yourself, you won’t be disappointed.”

I recently brought my parents for the first time here, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The service, professional and like a well-oiled machine, only adds to the charm. We indulged in the Leek and Potato Soup, Capresina, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Tiramisu, and Tiramisu Eclair. The Capresina was a standout, generously topped with premium Burrata and Parma Ham. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole was a revelation—fresh pasta, perfectly cooked clams, and a symphony of flavours that made it the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, their Tiramisu is flawless. “We found this amazing place, one of our favorite Korean food is Gamja-tang. Their Gamja-tang is worth every bite and money we paid for. Kudos to the owner, he is very kind, friendly and all the staff are very attentive, checking customer's need. We are so glad and happy customers, we could not stop talking about this hidden jem!!! Great experience, awesome traditional and authentic food, cherry on top, the service is genuine and more worthy than fine dine in. “One of the best Indian Restaurant in west Auckland. You don’t find the authentic Indian taste everywhere in Auckland but Shahi is a must visit for all the food lovers. Amazing food with great service from the team . The owners are very welcoming. It’s my go to place every weekend . You must try the Palak Paneer/Veg Kofta /Veg Biryani and Momos they are very good . I am a vegetarian but my friends have tried lamb biryani and curry and they like it a lot.”
