Hidden gem that's not easy to know about or find. A more mom and pop place but with good food. The miso soup was awesome. Noodles both veggie and with chicken were great. Friendly staff, relatively quick service. Like most Japanese restaurants is a small place but enough tables. You might have to wait as there is continuous traffic. Decent indoor decor.

Such a good experience. The dishes were fresh and full of flavour, and everything came out fast. The staff were super friendly and really on to it. The atmosphere was relaxed and felt genuinely welcoming. The food was so good I caught myself sayingηΎŽε‘³γ—γ„without even thinking. Easy five stars γ‚γ‚ŠγŒγ¨γ†γ”γ–γ„γΎγ™γ€‚

We had an excellent dinner here. We love japanese dishes and this did not disappoint. We a lot, the beef bento box, fried noodles, tempura shrimp, vegi gyoza, and chicken katsu. I also had a highball. Generous portions, great staff, fast serivce. Basically every dish was awesome. The beef bento was very stylish. Would come back 5/5

A very cute tiny Japanese restaurant in Auckland's famous High St. But don't make its size fools you. The dishes here are quite authentic. The bento box is amazing with many condiments. I ordered Salmon Teriyaki Bento and the salmon is very delicious and not fishy or fatty at all. The waitress was very friendly, even asked me how to say thank you in my own language. You probably need to make reservation in the weekend as the place is quite small, but you won't be disappointed!

This Japanese restaurant is incredibly popular, especially during lunchtime, resulting in a crowded dining area. I have ordered seafood ramen. The meal I had was surprisingly delicious, even though the noodles used appeared to be of a cheaper quality. The chef's talent shines through as they skillfully transformed these noodles into a tasty dish, which is truly commendable. The mushrooms used in the dish were of good quality and had a fresh taste, and the shrimp was also prepared nicely. The restaurant has done an excellent job in organizing the limited space they have, making the most out of it for a comfortable dining experience. The staff members were friendly and contributed to the overall positive ambiance of the place. All in all, it's evident that the restaurant's popularity is well-deserved, and they have managed to create a delightful dining experience despite the challenges of the crowded space.

This is a small restaurant tucked away next to another Asian restaurant. But the food is outstanding, the service friendly and efficient, and the place has a real atmosphere, with it's varied art works tastefully enhancing the space. Highly recommended.

Great dinner with Koiya Japanese restaurant. The Tokyo dinner set is huge and fresh. Even though it was super busy on a Thursday night, our order was ready in less than ten minutes. Staff and service was excellent, definitely come back in the near future. 10/10.

Great prices and delicious food. Definitely recommend and would come here again! Just a small thing that would be nice was if the cheese could be more melted on the cheese Katsu.
