What a great place to go to. Spacious, with good taste in music. Their attention to customers was on point. We had their spaghetti bolognese and their seafood pasta.Both were delicious! For dessert we had their tiramisu and apple cake. The tiramisu was not too sweet, so it was good for a diabetic. Ample parking!
Regarded as one of the top three Italian restaurants in North Shore, this Trattoria does not fail to impress. I recently brought my parents for the first time here, and the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The spacious dining area, complete with offerings like gelato, formaggio, salumi, and il pasticcino, sets the stage for an authentic Italian feast. The service, professional and like a well-oiled machine, only adds to the charm. We indulged in the Leek and Potato Soup, Capresina, Spaghetti Alle Vongole, Tiramisu, and Tiramisu Eclair. The Capresina was a standout, generously topped with premium Burrata and Parma Ham. The Spaghetti Alle Vongole was a revelation—fresh pasta, perfectly cooked clams, and a symphony of flavours that made it the best I’ve ever had. To top it off, their Tiramisu is flawless. The prices are more than fair for the quality and craftsmanship of the dishes. Practicalities? Plenty of parking and a grocery shop next door make it a win-win. My advice? Just go. You won’t regret it.
Limited veg options, one veg pasta in menu and was not available when we went for dinner. The kids' margartia is great, and I loved the folds that make it easy for kids to hold and eat. The seasonal greens just had broccoli. Service was good and love the atmosphere.
We went there for a dinner. The variety of the food is great. Many choices of Italian foods are in the menu. Quality of the food also was great. I got the pizza and they make the pizza bread themselves. The whole combination of fresh base and the ingredients gave me a very good feeling. All portions are quite large and filling. Pizzas are larger than usual NZ pizzas, but because the base is thin, you can eat it all. The staff were very attentive and caring. There are also related shops in the same space where you can buy pretty much all the ingredients of the foods that are on the menu. The space is big and very well decorated.
San Marco restaurant exceeded all my expectations! The pizzas were absolutely delicious, with a base that was incredibly fresh and flavorful. Every bite was a delight. My steak was perfectly cooked, super tender, and bursting with taste. The staff were attentive, caring, and ensured that every order was taken with precision. A truly wonderful dining experience!
We came here for an early dinner and had a pretty good meal. The food was pretty good, my wife and I loved the pizza. The staff was very friendly and the restaurant had a good atmosphere. We're keen to come back and explore other dishes.
We finally tried San Marco last night, and it was everything we hoped for! We've tried entrees, pasta, main & and dessert, and everything was done to perfection. The service was very good, nice waiters taking their time to tell us more about the menu and accommodating all our requests. So kind! I always check a restaurant bathroom to see how clean it is, and it was spotless, so bonus points for that, too! We'll definitely come back again and again.
Online booking was easy and a lady phoned the day before to confirm the booking. I was pleasantly surprised as I didn’t know what to expect. The restaurant is a great addition to North Shore. The pasta and pizza was fresh and delicious. Serving size was also good for the price. The lady who served us was helpful & friendly. Parking can be tricky on weekends. I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!
I had Romano my husband had Capriccosa pizza. I can’t recall when we had this level great pizza last time. Coffee was great as well. Ladies at counter are nice and kind. Definitely we go back again. Highly recommended
