“I have been wanting to try this place for some time now on my work visits down from Auckland. Glad I finally did, new fav Hamilton restaurant! Service was outstanding, food was absolutely delicious. I had the Turkish meatballs as per wait staff recommendation (I would not normally order this dish first up) and I did not regret it. Portion size was not huge (which I prefer) so room for desert and the baklava and tahini ice cream did not disappoint. You can tell there are some generational recipes being passed down here. Yum!”

“I took a group of 8 ladies to Alpino on Saturday for a Luxe Day Out for my business Her Luxe Travel and we had a phenomenal time. Not only were Alpino great to work with to set up how I wanted the experience, on the day they delivered 110%. The food was to die for, service was friendly and efficient. We were sat in the area at the front that is somewhat closed off from the rest of the restaurant and it couldn't have been more perfect. Definitely glad I've chosen Alpino for my Retreat welcome lunches ☺️”

“Staying in our motorhome we must say we were impressed. From the check ✅ in, with Kirsten, and the advice and help we received from the start. A beautiful Holiday Park with everything so clean and tidy. The playground too, is well thought out for childrens pleasure during their stay. Very handy to the beach and rolling surf, our two small dogs were in heaven when we all went down to the sand. It is fantastic that the dogs are allowed to be with us on holiday during the off season. The showers were nice and hot water aplenty. A friendly little bunny was not at all worried about two highly excited dogs because it sat just outside their wire fenced yard and teased them. In all a great place to stay and we will be back. Not sure for me it's a downturn. I like going to cafes and work...”

“The owner is French - very authentic food. She is also very nice and friendly. The food is excellent and so is the coffee. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Rotorua. The only complaint I have is that it is rather pricey; we mostly go on special occasions. If it were less expensive, we would definitely go more often. Note that the restaurant itself is not very large so it does tend to fill up during normal meal times.”

“While New Zealand's grocery stores are well stocked, here we found extraordinary offerings of high quality and reasonably priced foods, spices, sauces and more. Many are imported from the foods' country of origin: olives from Kalamata, Greece. Pasta from Italy. Etc. And some, like the organic breads for example, are produced locally. Not only are their foods fantastic, so is their staff. Smart. Responsive. Proud but eager. Striving. Friendly and welcoming.”

“We stayed on site in the 2 bd, 2 bath place and it was excellent service, breakfast is in your room each day (too much food for the two of us to eat, good snacks for the day), there’s complimentary wine and additional wine for purchase, the restaurant is phenomenal and well priced and the estate is fun to walk around. A must stop on your New Zealand adventure!”

“Absolutely love this place. Have come for multiple breakfasts and a dinner. A simple gozleme (try the egg or harissa chicken!) is a cheap breakfast that's so delicious. Their bread is made by hand everyday. Good coffee as well! A medium dinner plate between two of one meat (beef cheeks!!) and four veggies/salads, with some fresh pita bread and hummus was enough and great value. Can't rate this place more. It's just the kinda place you wanna come back to again and again.”
