“The Shelf is such a charming coffee shop! The decor is super cute, with unique and quirky items displayed on every shelf, giving it a cozy and fun vibe. They offer light snacks and some creative coffee options—like the sesame coffee, which I regret not trying. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, definitely a bit different from other coffee shops. It’s a lovely spot to hang out or even do some work on your laptop. As for the coffee itself, it’s good, but nothing extraordinary. Overall, it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the unique ambiance!”

“Indian restaurant in Ellerslie. A real gem of a restaurant. Can't fault any aspect of this place. The food was delicious, fresh and tasty and the service was very good. We were a party of 11 and all our meals were made within a reasonable time from ordering. The decor really adds to the experience. I look forward to going back when I'm in the country and in the mood for great quality Indian cuisine.”

“One of the last supermarkets in Auckland who actually still provide customer care and service. The range is good the store is clean, however you will find this in most supermarkets. The staff are awesome, friendly helpful and polite. Even the guy picking up the trolleys was friendly you just dont get this anymore well done to everyone great team really A++++”

“Reduced to clear were amazing. Like a lot of people I'd been searching for the BEGA brand cheese slices, in particular Super thin slices. 65% less fat. I've been making sausage in Filo with cheese slice on the top for over 20 years, my kids loved them. Now my Grandchildren do too. Supermarkets arn't importing them anymore from Australia. This lovely Lady, The Manager. Was wonderful, it's a first in policy, I got the carton with 32 packets. She has kindly received another 6 cartons. Go buy as many as you need”

From the beginning, Rachel, the owner, was incredibly helpful, patiently answering all our questions and guiding us through the party planning process. The staff was beyond kind, making sure everything ran smoothly. The delicious buffet for adults, the fantastic kids’ menu, and the amazing outdoor playground made this place truly special. Everything was just perfect for us! A huge thank you to the staff for warmly accommodating 20 excited kids! “We came here for dinner on our first night in Auckland and it delivered! Niro and her team were gracious to seat us close to closing and quickly took our orders and served us. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to eat here as part of our honeymoon. The drinks were crisp and the food was incredible. I ordered the pepper steak and my husband ordered the spaghetti bolognese per the staff’s recommendation, and neither of us could stop eating and cleaned our plates. Not to mention the privacy the booth seating provided and the joyous Christmas decor! Highly recommend stopping in if you have the chance.”

“Ok...I have to admit, it was not my intention to come here. I was really looking for The Grove and since they were closed this was right next door and up stairs. What an adorable place with a variety of fresh foods, filtered water, charming ambiance and a full bar of coffee, alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. No AC but the seating area is charming overlooking the near by park and church. And did I mention free wifi.”

All staff I dealt with were incredibly helpful and accommodating as we had a few unknowns leading up to the day, and everything went smoothly at their end. “Came here for lunch the other day with a friend and I'm so glad I did. The workers were so friendly and polite, the food had big portions and were delicious. Star of the show was definitely the cake they sell. We got a slice of the green tea layered cake, the mango layered cake, and chocolate cheesecake. With the green tea crepe cake, they let the green tea be the main flavour, and not sugar which I often find a problem other cafes can't perfect. The mango layered cake had fresh mango layered between the crepes, and was both refreshing and sweet. Lastly, the chocolate cheesecake suprized me with how well they made such a simple concept so rich with flavour. Often, I find cafés make chocolate flavoured deserts to sweet, but they had a perfect balance of sweetness with the richness of the overall dessert. Overall, me and my friend definitely recommend this café to everyone, especially since they're open for many hours of the day!”

Great coffee and eggs Benedict. Cafe at front and large bar inside. You need to look in deeper than just from the street entrance.”

“What an interesting little café, Vintage Café is. It has a real country vibe. Steady stream of customers. The menu is good and the food cabinet is inviting. The atmosphere was good, had the quiet hum of intense conservation, radio in the background, sounds of coffee being made, and intense chatter out in the kitchen. The service was excellent. Yes, there was a slight wait to be served, but then there was a number of customers being served and waiting for their coffee. The young lady making coffee did an amazing job and handled the pressure really well. My kāwhe was perfect, large cappuccino with choc (of course). Eggs Benedict with bacon was perfect (didn't stay long on the plate) and the mango smoothie, yum. All arrived promptly and were devoured just as promptly. It's definitely worth a visit, as is the gift shop next door.”

“Fantastic Thai restaurant we stumbled upon as we were early for an event. The servings were generous, with perhaps a little too much meat (or so my fiance thought, though I thought it was perfect). They actually listened to us when we asked for it to be hot, as too often I get served "European hot" which is mild at best. The prices were also very low. Despite being 20 minutes drive from home, this will likely now be our go to place for Thai.”
