Fabulous vibe AND I was able to pay for items I'd purchased from Red Cross on Barbados St, unfortunately their Eftpos wasn't working & the kind lady said I could pay next time we're in the store. Great to see that people still trust one another. We'll be back.”

“This shop is terrific! It's split into two different spaces, one dedicated to books, music, etc. and the other space is general op shop stuff. I adore the book level, it's essentially a quality second hand bookshop with op shop prices. If you find yourself at one of these spaces, ask the way to the other as it's not obvious. I don't live in Ōtepoti, however, go there semi-regularly. I drove past the lower level a few times, eventually made time to stop in. I'd gone in few times before a staff member asked me if I knew about the upper level.”

One lady in particular was really helpful when she was assisting me and recommending sizes for my son. It felt like she actually took the time to help, which I appreciated. “I am a first time mum, and felt overwhelmed by all the brands and what I actually really needed. I sent an email with all I was looking for, and had a reply immediately from Kate, extremely helpful, guiding me to navigate through what would suit us best (not pushy or telling us the most expensive one was best etc) Answered my million questions and we put together a large bundle which we finally went in and paid for yesterday, after Kate going above and beyond with speedily emailing back then spending the time explaining and demo'ing in store. I also love that you can get everything you need from the same shop and there is no pressure, and expert advice, especially on carseats and prams, we learned so much and you can tell Kate knows her stuff and is happy to share any information you ask for. This will be my main shopping spot for all things baby and toddler. Thank you Baby City and thank you Kate. I had also been in a previous 2 times just to look and not buy and the other 2 ladies I met were also friendly and welcoming even though I wasnt ready to purchase yet. The store itself is clean, easy to move around, not cluttered and well organized.”
