I don't reccomend this place. All independent LMCs but easily palm their patients off on eachother when it doesn't suit. I know the whole system us stretched with not enough midwifes but I have suffered with PTSD for 5months postpartum due to my midwife Sev basically ditching me like a lost dog at the pound when I needed her the most! Yes it was Christmas & yes my baby wasn't due until late Jan; however this midwife was my lifeline & when my waters partially broke early; she did NOT come see me at the hospital. I went home due to not progressing at the hospital & was in excruciating pain so hoped to be more comfortable. Had terrible paim all in my lower back & glutes...I called the back up midwife Adriana whom I'd never met & when we called her to ask about the pain in the back she said "she doesn't know what it is" in a stropy tone & then abruptly told us not to go to hospital on Xmas eve as "we'd ruin Christmas for everyone". I later found out I was having "back labour" pains which I'd never heard of so thought there was something horribly wrong with me. I would have expected the midwives to offer some compassion & explain what it could have been. This was my first baby & arriving almost 5weeks early...I needed them & their supposed knowledge! I've tried to raise these issues with Mama Maternity but seems no one is in charge; all independent LMCs so no one has taken responsibility or apologized for this stuff up which is so disappointing. I was left in the care of the hospital midwives & again due to dire shortage with our stretched Healthcare system; they put a midwife with only 1year experience in charge of me in delivery & she misread my cervix & had me pushing on 5cm; amoung other stuff ups like not getting adequate pain relief (epidural) for 3 hours. Had my Mama maternity midwife actually been there; I could have had a chance at avoiding this whole birth trauma that unfolded. Any expectant Mother reading this, I highly recommend you ask your midwife to introduce you to the back up midwives & also ask what happens if baby comes early & who will look after you; plus will they bother to come see you in the hospital & still be your support person regardless of what happens? Cheers Mama Maternity!

They don’t even deserve 1 star. Doesn’t know how to understand the feelings of a new Mom to be.. all the worries of a new mother instead of assisting they send them away. Especially that Carly. Does she really know what she is doing. Complaining that they are paid very low. Everyone is paid very low now a days because of Covid. How she become midwife she doesn’t know how to care for a patient? No symphathy. No professional.

Great experience with Leonie Bowley. She's looked after my wife throughout all of her pregnancies. Whether it is the middle of the night or early morning, we have had incredible support from her. Very friendly and supportive. She helped a lot during the postpartum period as well. Excellent support. I highly recommend her.

Amazing experience. Grateful to my LMC Sonia Azizi. She is fab, knowledgeable and always approachable. I would highly recommend Sonia if you are looking for an experienced Midwife.

I attended a class at MAMA Maternity and it was fab. The educator was fantastic, she was friendly and very knowledgeable and I came out feeling much more confident about my birth and caring for my new baby after attending them. I would definitely recommend them to others.
