“What a great place to go with the family. Great beach with lifeguard, playground pool and mountain bike trails. Huge amount of walking tracks through forest and along the wetlands with lots of birds. The beach is huge and great to drive along. Highly recommend.”

“Great visit thanks to the volunteers keeping this running. Support this marvellous place, an-example of how the “old timers” lived. Brent at the model trains was particularly interesting. I hope the government can also see the value and start the funding once again.”
“Great little pop up museum while the main one is worked on”
“Friendly staff and great prices. Track is short but technical with different hairpins and turns. It’s also wide enough for overtaking other drives. I had a great experience here as a tourist.”
“Great location as my son needed surgery at Southern Cross Hospital which was just down the road , easy check in and check out, rooms, bathroom very clean and due to location being on a main road I thought the traffic would keep us up but didn’t at all, also extra bonus it has 3 bedrooms so my son, myself and parents all got their own room. Thank you.”

“Hayes Paddock is a delightful spot in Hamilton that perfectly balances natural beauty with a touch of local history. The park is beautifully maintained, offering a peaceful retreat with plenty of green space to relax, play, or have a picnic. The walk along the Waikato River is particularly scenic, and the views are simply stunning, especially during sunrise or sunset. What I love most about Hayes Paddock is the sense of community it fosters. The area feels safe and welcoming, with friendly locals and a charming, laid-back atmosphere. The nearby cafes are fantastic for grabbing a coffee or a bite to eat after a leisurely stroll. Whether you're a local or just visiting, Hayes Paddock is a must-visit. It's a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, offering a tranquil setting to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Hamilton. Highly recommend!”
“Walk my dog here most days, awesome area for daily exercise, only thing that ruins it, are people ripping up the grass on dirtbikes.”
“One of the best places for cherry blossom viewing in Spring”

“The upgrades to this facility are fantastic. It's clean, the animals are well cared for and happy, and the staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The map is well laid out with plenty of play areas sprinkled throughout, as well as restrooms and snack opportunities. Disability access is decent, but there are some steep areas. The cafe is good, with a smaller outlet next to the playground. There is a decent selection of gluten and dairy free snacks, as well as alternative milks for surprisingly good coffee.”
