A great little picnic spot with picnic tables on the edge of the river. There is a small car park which is home to a lot of very friendly sparrows. They live fish, rice and chips as a little treat.

This is a beautiful spot which is every bit as nice as Parana Park/Ferry Bank. The Waikato River is easily Hamiltonβs best asset and a very good one at that! There are walks around this area but just going to the view points are enough to provide great memories. It may be an unpopular opinion but I love Hamilton and every opportunity I can get to visit the river is a pleasant memory.

A popular spot with barbecue and ablution facilities on the bank of the Waikato River as it passes through Hamilton. Ideal for a quiet read or walk being close to nature.

genuinely beautiful place and I have been here many times just to reflect on my own I've often liked to sit down at the picnic table with my small tripod put my phone put my ear plugs and watch a movie and have a nice drink of Powerade or something like that and just wrap up warm and enjoy the beautiful view it really is quite ethereal and enchanting during the winter because of all the mist and fog that goes over the lake obviously you need to be careful because otherwise you're going to get freezing cold you can't stay there for too long I would definitely recommend blankets and lots and lots of layers of clothing during the summer time it's beautiful as well and at night-time obviously it is not a problem in terms of wearing layers. If you need to clear your head and go somewhere, this is definitely a place that I would recommend or even just taking your children to see the ducks!

Lovely spot by the river, BBQ facilities and picnic tables. Just be warned there's a public toilet that's fully electronic - everything is automatic and it talks to you and plays smooth jazz... However it's not subject to Asimov's laws, and asking it to open the pod bay doors may result in death. Also a bunch of carts selling flowers and fish and snacks pull in during the day.

Quite a nice area along the Waikato River. It has walking paths that go along the river bank. The landing as a few areas for picnics as well as a deck that goes closer to the river. Quite a few parking spots so a nice place for a little picnic by the river.
