“This is a delightful park which has more than just play equipment. It has a lot of water play equipment so make sure the kids bring their togs. It has nice shady trees and a band rotunda. A great place for a picnic lunch or dinner and close to takeaways if you don't feel like bringing your own.”
“Lovely playground right next to the Point Chev beach. There is the usual playground, lots of slices, a mini push train and a flying fox too which the adults can enjoy too. Quite safe and a huge grassy area as well for other games”
“Nice big park with lots of trees to get some shade from. The sun. Over looking the water which adds a nice backdrop. Great for kids, plenty of room to run around and a park to play on.”
“Absolutely a great place Huge. The greylynn event was such a crowd puller on a gorgeous day. Loved it.”
“I attended the woof rainbow dog show at this park. It was so much fun. The park playground is like a theme park, the view is stunning and has good bathroom facilities.”
“An oasis on peace and quietness. Went there on a full on day tip to Auckland and since i had a book i stopped to read for a while. Ended up seeing so many cute couples and people just chilling, reading and relaxing and ended up doing some friends with travellers that were around.”
“Lovely community park in Browns bay.”
“grandsons favourite especially with the train and the fort. Great parking and well off the road and toilets handy with cafe across the road or other side of the park. Magic”
“Simple playground, skate park and rugby field.”
“Good for short walks, lots of variety in trees including pines, oaks, bamboo and native trees. Home to australian magpies, native fantails, blackbirds, swifts, and song thrush. Several full sized sport fields on site for use. Toilets near near entrances. Two sets of playgrounds and one set of exercising stations.”
“What an amazing playground, with the best view! We are over from Australia and came past here, we absolutely love this playground- it had so much to offer for our toddler. Swings, slides, climbing frames, tactile boards, … definitely recommend coming here if you’re nearby!”
“Onepoto Domain is a delightful urban park that offers a perfect blend of natural beauty and recreational space. With its expansive green lawns, tranquil pond, and scenic walking paths, it’s an ideal spot for both relaxation and outdoor activities. The reserve features a variety of native plants and trees, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The park’s large open spaces are great for picnics, sports, or simply enjoying the stunning views of the surrounding area. Whether you're looking to unwind or stay active, Onepoto Domain provides a refreshing retreat in the heart of the city.”
“Centennial Park Bush Walk is in Campbells Bay of Auckland's North Shore, right next to the famous Pupuke golf club. There are a couple of tracks in this bush which are all loops - Walking Bus, Aberdeen, Mamaku, Kohekohe, Bayliss, Avenue, Tui, and Magnolia. Combined, they are 4km track length altogether, and it may take an hour or so to complete them all. It would be handy to have a park map with you so that you will not be on the same track over and over in circles! Good shoes for this walk are essential, as some sections, particularly the Avenue of Remembrance, can be muddy and slippery after wet days. Depending on which direction you walk, there are uphills and downhills so be prepared. Dogs are allowed but must always be on a leash. There's a great lookout point with seating and views out to Campbells Bay and the Hauraki Gulf. Also, there are a couple of picnic benches in this park for you to have a relaxed meal or a drink.”
“Great park!!! So much to do. There were heaps of slides, ropes to climb on, a hamster wheel, spinny things, a wheel chair swing, super clean bathrooms, grills, and so much more! Definitely recommend!”
“I cannot express how grateful I am for Kindercare Learning Centre - Mount Well. From the moment we inquired about enrollment, the team has been incredibly helpful and responsive. Monisha, the centre manager provided all the necessary information promptly and the level of organization is truly impressive. My daughter absolutely loves going to school. She has formed wonderful connections and it's clear that she enjoys her time there. The teachers are all so accommodating and you can tell they genuinely care about the children's well-being and development. The centre itself is spotless and well-organized, which makes me feel at ease knowing my child is in such a safe and nurturing environment. I also love that the centre provides feedback about what happened during the day when I pick my daughter up, it's great to stay connected with her progress. Thank you Kindercare for being such an amazing part of our journey. We feel so lucky to have found such a wonderful place for my daughter to grow and learn.”
“My child has been going here since March 2025 and all in all I have to say the centre is great. We have no real objections. Every now and then we do ask questions but my child is happy and relaxed when we pick him up so that gives us a level of comfort we are happy with. The teachers are very polite and seem to know what they are doing.”
“Was really awesome going on a sunny day last time was raining but this time everyone was out enjoying the sun was so cool to see”
“This the west end of the foreshore heritage walk, a 5km pleasant trail. I started from the middle of the trail, point 13 to the east, then back to the west. It took me 3-4 hours in total. It’s an amazing way to learn Auckland”
“Such a fun time at the park today with my grandson. Just moved into the area and so happy to find such a jem so close to home.”
“Roberta Reserve is a hidden gem tucked away in Glendowie. It’s peaceful, open, and has such a calm vibe—perfect for families, dog walks, or just taking a moment to breathe. The reserve runs alongside the water with beautiful views, especially at sunrise or sunset. There’s a great little playground for kids, plenty of space to kick a ball around, and shady spots to relax under. It’s never too crowded, and the mix of native trees, birdlife, and open space makes it feel like a proper local retreat. Definitely one of those underrated neighbourhood spots you feel lucky to know about.”
“Love this park! Lotsa trails that meander and undulates with streams, bridges and staircases that break up the monotony to select from depending on your capability and endurance, kids playgrounds are lovely and fun! Yes, even for adults. Haha. Lovely cafe and public swimming pool. Definitely a must go. Just remember to clean up as you go and leave no trace of whatever you ate or drank.”
“Came here this afternoon for a short walk and a picnic. Very calming site, nice community and surroundings.”
“Omana Beach Road Playground is a fantastic destination for families in East Auckland. The playground itself is well-equipped and provides plenty of fun for kids of all ages, making it an ideal spot for an active day out. It's set in a lovely location, perfect for enjoying the outdoors. While the public toilets aren't the best, it's good to know they are available on site. Overall, it's a highly recommended spot for a family outing, offering a pleasant and enjoyable experience near Omana Beach!”
“Awesome place to take the kids! The playground has way more features than your average playground. It has some cool gym machines alongside the playground which are good for teenagers and under. Also has a flying fox which is safe for young kids to use - even by themselves. It would seem that the local community looks after the playground as it's always kept clean. There is little-to-none vandalism and it is free for anyone inside the community to use.”
“Awesome staff and crew. Aaron was very helpful. He made sure all our kids are well taken cared of. He extends his helping hands to the kids and the kids had so much fun. He was also always there to help me in all my party needs. The kids had a blast on this day! This is a party to definitely remember! Our birthday girl was ecstatic!”
“Does Park has become a regular for me to take my dog spotty to there is always plenty of dogs here as it is an off-leash dog park surrounded by native bush and a circuit that a lot of people used to get fit the tracks themselves are never muddy and most of the dogs know each other as do the owners this park was gifted to Auckland buy Smith & caughey who owned the department store in Queen Street for over 100 years it was given to the people of Auckland so that it couldn't be used for housing and set aside as one of the greatest green spaces”
“As a new mother I was told not to trust the big franchises as they do not have a quality of care. After having my child attend 2 different big branded daycares I almost believed them. That’s until I started my son here. Millennium Ellerslie has shown the upmost support and care for my child. He has severe eczema and allergies to wheat and egg and they’ve accommodated his needs and wellbeing without excluding him or singling him out. They’re honest go above and beyond. They’re honest, respectful and caring and my husband and I rave about how pleased we are with this centre. The teachers and staff are amazing and my son always feels welcome and happy when we arrive and leave. Thank you all for your patience and professionalism.”
“Loved this place with our three year old handsome junior. He loved it. There is single line railing track to hang and ride. That too is free. Quiet and comfy place. Thanks NZ.”
“A relatively small park but it's so beautiful. Especially now that the Cherry blossom trees have bloomed. They have a small playground and basketball court ask well.”
“Excellent with Hillsborough Primary School”
