Great playground for little ones - our 2.5 year old and 5.5 year old didn’t want to leave! We came around 5pm in summer. Much more suitable for smaller kids than the other treehouse playground in Totara Park, and a short 5min walk from the parking lot. Was nice to see that the flying fox was working well.
Love this park! Lotsa trails that meander and undulates with streams, bridges and staircases that break up the monotony to select from depending on your capability and endurance, kids playgrounds are lovely and fun! Yes, even for adults. Haha. Lovely cafe and public swimming pool. Definitely a must go. Just remember to clean up as you go and leave no trace of whatever you ate or drank.
We have visited twice for helping the kid practice bike ride. It's a beautiful and peaceful park. Sufficient parking, good walking track, multiple seating options, clean toilets and small area of swings. May be adding a bit more play options for the kids could make it more entertaining. Considerations for four star when comparing it with Hamilton garden with lake view, and others in Auckland with amazing views and multiple play options.
Park itself is nice, pools look good, parking is really bad
A quiet spot away from the more popular areas near the parking and pools. The playground equipment is more suitable for younger children, but includes a safe little flying fox. Bins and fixed seating in a well maintained little hilly area.
Love this place!!! Beautiful parkland, great walking tracks, plenty of space and seating. Love the pools, highly recommend for a good free day out or even just a good (fairly hard) hill walk for some exercise. It's a regular hang out spot for my family!
Lovely spot first time here for us as a family. We enjoyed the nice playground short walk from the car park. The improvements are looking good, outdoor tables n chairs and great looking new toilet block-pity it was not open as my wife needed to go.
