I personally loved the micro greens and swirl of beetroot for presentation. All three of us gave five stars for the size and taste of our brunch. “I would like to praise staff member "Whetu". I have been in there several times and Whetu has been so very helpful on a number of occasions. I have had the worst treatment by the liquor store on Lincoln Rd and was hesitant to go into another bottle store. I felt that way until I was blessed with the amazing service Whetu gives. This isn't a once of behavior for her as I have gone in there over a few years and her respect, kindness and help has never changed. It's hard to find such a great and consistent worker. I have been treated with respect by all the staff there and hope their boss realizes what an amazing job they do. Considering there must be customers that require a little more patience and tolerance, yet they remain professional. Thank you Whetu and the staff of Liquorland Hornby. Great prices, service and satisfaction. Very appreciated. She deserves the name Whetu because it literally means "Star".”

“INCREDIBLE! We're visiting Christchurch and I wish we'd discovered this restaurant earlier in our trip to have visited a couple more times. The space is welcoming with a beautiful patio heated by wood burning fireplace and electric heaters. The staff is friendly and attentive. But the FOOD, y'all! Each thing we tried was creative, beautiful, and incredibly delicious. Tonight's fish was grouper and it was served 2 ways: fried and grilled - both absolutely stunning. The tomato and peach burratta caprese would have been delicious as is but was topped with basil ice cream instead of fresh basil and it was one of the most unexpectedly scrumptious things I've ever had. What a culinary gem!!!”

Would be good if they increased their range of light wines. Very competitive in pricing and often undercuts supermarkets for beer. Close with wine.”

“Grabbed the 2 slices & a soda for $14 on Saturday just to switch up what I usually get at Riverside. I was prepared to be unimpressed, but had the opposite experience. The 2 slices of pepperoni I ordered were comically huge and utterly delicious: spicy, cheesy, rich -- not sweet sauce -- flavoured with herbs and spices. Very good value, imo.”
