“Great location for an airport hotel and surprisingly great food great view and wonderful staff. Highly recommend this as a hotel to stay before or after your flight. Beds were very comfortable and spacious rooms with good showers. Buffet breakfast is a must with great selections and as a platinum member we were given barista coffee. Unfortunately there wasn’t an executive lounge for us but still a great hotel.”

“We spent the first night of our trip at The George (after much hassle with flight delays, which the team was extremely accommodating for!) was one of the most spectacular nights of our trip! The service was unmatched (Thank you Matt!) and George bear will be our travel companion forever! It was the perfect place to relax and rejuvenate after a long journey and breakfast the next morning was spectacular! My only complaint is that I couldn’t stay forever! I would come to Christchurch just to spend a night here again!”

“I stayed in November 2024 for 2 days with a late check out. I wanted to give this motel a review as I found the staff extremely helpful as it was my first time in Christchurch. I want to commend the staff making our stay great. The location is fantastic - great bus routes to airport, city and beyond and the Riccarton Mall literally across the road. Being self contained and having a mall across the road made it easy to get supplies to cook food etc. I really recommend Dean Bush Motel - ring them instead of going thru a book app to get the best deal.”

“This is use to be officer's quarter from the 40s. In good shape with a courtesy staff. Next door to the New Zealand Air Force Museam. No elevator but the front desk staff are in great shape and will carry your luggage. I offered a tip but he would not take it. Great food in the restaurant at a reasonable price. The room, 207 was a bit small but clean and comfortable.”

“Just want to thank the lovely family who manage the Vita Nova Motel for a great stay. We landed at midnight and we were able to arrange a late checkin. The unit was really clean, bed was so comfortable, Netflix to chill out at night, had all the necessary amenities and great service. Daily house keeping was excellent, she was thorough and showed great attention to detail. Laundry facilities were useful. Location was great, central to everything. Would definitely stay again. “Great location as my son needed surgery at Southern Cross Hospital which was just down the road , easy check in and check out, rooms, bathroom very clean and due to location being on a main road I thought the traffic would keep us up but didn’t at all, also extra bonus it has 3 bedrooms so my son, myself and parents all got their own room. “Most beautiful stay. We were traveling through Christchurch when we decided to stay an extra night to visit friends for dinner quickly booked this place on booking.com easy as service just pulled up needed a PIN code to get into the house and had everything wifi hot shower clean tidy bedroom. We will definitely recommend to other friends and family. May even come back though and stay a night on our way back.”

“Loved the place. I’ve tried several hotels in the area and like this the most for its location, rooms and value for money. Loved their rooftop restaurant. I recommend their breakfast that can be included in the booking. Last but not least I loved the firm-ish bed. I feel rested.”

“Very nice motor camp with a great vibe. Great value for money very tidy and clean facilities. I booked one night in the Tui caravan and 2 nights in one of the cabins. Loved the Comfortable beds in the caravan. Friendly helpful staff and very accommodating when my plans got messed around by Airnz. I Will definitely recommend and will stay there again if I’m down that way.”

“I initially was thinking Co-Live would be a good place to stay for a few months until I found something else - I stayed 18 months, it is an excellent place to stay - clean, tidy, and the management really responsive to questions. The place is friendly and definitely safe - I would stay there again without hesitation....”

“Wouldnt ride anywhere else, absolute quality instruction with fantastic well cared for horses. They even offer riders the opportunity to compete on their horses which is awesome. You not only learn how to ride, you learn everything from horse mastership, grooming , how to lunge correctly etc.”

“It wasn’t just a hostel—it was my home. Over the past six months, I made so many wonderful memories with amazing people. Everyone was always kind, welcoming, supportive, and considerate. Karen keeps the place clean and cozy, provides organic eggs, and cares about how we’re doing. Antony shows up whenever we need him and can fix just about anything. Lucy, the staff member, is the friendliest and most amazing person! And I miss Pipi the cat so much. The location is great—15min walk to the CBD—and the environment is very safe. I feel so lucky to have spent such a valuable time at Chester St Backpackers!”

“Great hostel in a good location. Parking space at the hostel, but if that's full there is plenty of street parking. I loved the design of the hostel with different houses and a lot of grass space. Good security in the hostel as it has a card key for the building and each room. And there is also a safe for each person in the room to use. Each bed has two USB plug and two outlets. My only complaint was that the beds were pretty uncomfortable and springy, but I really enjoyed the hostel and it's a great value so I'm still giving it 5 stars. Kitchen was soooo impressively clean and so were the toilets and showers. Each one is separate and you get your own space in the showers. Lastly, cool staff! Thanks for being so chill!”

“We find this motel so good. We use it every time we fly out. The early morning shuttle is a great bonus too. The rooms are clean tidy nd very comfortable. Jeff nd staff are great hosts nothings a bother..We will def continue to use this motel.”
