   The motel looks plain, however the name re motel does not do it justice. The rooms are self contained bedroom, kitchenet bathroom seating place. So a very comfortable place. The suit we had was a double and had a good range of cooking and eating utensils. The location is perfect. A beautiful walk into or across the parc, through the botanic gardens right into the city centre. Also just around the corner is a 24hr mini market and a little further up the road a very big Park&Save supermarket for all one would need for a few days stay. Able car parking for the car. It's also quiet.

   Great location: a pleasant park walk to the Botanic Gardens and city. Such a pleasure to have a separate bedroom in a motel. Though tight, the bathroom was fine. The kitchenette was very well equipped. Hosts Lena and Peter were very helpful and we greatly appreciated the drop off at the station for our onward rail trip.

   I have to say it’s refreshing to find something other than a traditional 5 star accommodation that takes such pride in their facilities. The room was very clean, spacious and had all the necessities. Wear and tear was minimal and it’s clear that they haven’t been skimping on the maintenance. I would absolutely stay here again. You can tell that the owners care about this place. There are some nice little touches too like the travel power board in the living room, in case you forgot an AU/NZ adapter. Well done Argyle team!!

   We rented the King & single bed room for two nights. All correspondence with the manager, Lena, for this booking was answered very quickly. The motel provides free off road parking which was great having a rental vehicle and is a easy 10min walk from the cbd Booking in was easy and with a welcoming smile. The room was clean and very spacious. The kitchenette was adequate to prepare our meals. The heating in the room was great for the very cold nights. Lena went out of her way to assist us during our stay with information about the local area . If l ever go back to Christchurch l will be staying here again and would highly recommend this motel to friends . Thanks for a great stay

   Comfy beds. A few Saturday night hoons, but super close to the park. Weird netflix setup that didn't seem to work well. Very low showerhead. Pretty good though.

   What a great place to stay! We were collected from the railway station and driven straight to our room, which was spacious and warm and full of all the things we could possibly need. A really lovely team greeted us and looked after us, giving tips about restaurants and the lovely walk into town across the botanical park. We will be back when we have our longer break here.
