“What an outstanding morning, watching early rugby, breakfast and great coffee. Great start to the day. Jasmine was outstanding with her service. Very attentive and nothing was a problem. Always a great team. Look forward to the next game.”
“Great food, amazing chips best I have had in a long time, the soluvlakis we had were very filling and tasty good amount of meat and feash salad. Excellent customer service thank you so much!!”

“I've been coming to this place for years, since it opened and love it for a quiet sit down. The cheese scones I genuinely rate as the best in New Zealand. Very unique, light and fluffy on the inside with a nice crust on the outside. Huge too.”
“What an experience. Out for a family dinner to celebrate our anniversary and it honestly couldn't have been better. Brilliant friendly staff, so helpful and onto it. Awesome atmosphere for the kids and us adults. Then the food, top notch and out in great time. You'll definitely be our first choice on family nights out. Thanks so much.”
“Had a great meal here. Efficient, friendly staff. Generous portions. I had enough to ask for a take away container.”
“Avonhead takeaways has the best Taiwanese crispy chicken in town. We also tried their Korean fried chicken and octopus balls. Very yummy Asian street food with good value for money.”
“I had high tea. The tea itself was fantastic. The pastries and sandwiches were excellent. The staff was very attentive, maybe even over so in the beginning. And then it was hard to find someone when it was time to pay the bill. My one suggestion is that there's no way to take your tea bag out of the pot. Nothing to take it out with and no place to put it. And I don't always like my tea really strong, depending on what type of tea I get. They would also elevate the experience if they had some type of table cover.”
“Found this little gem around corner from my motel. Staff were great, friendly and polite. Plenty of space and meals etc brought to your table. Food prepared fresh and coffee was very good too. Plus I got sandwiches to take out ,well filled too. Will be back next trip to Christchurch. Highly Recommended.”

“This is a hidden gem. Tucked away a little, this is a terrific place. Historical and modern all at the same time. Marty was the sensational staff member who made our experience such a great memorable event. It was nice to see some of the Wigram Airfields history being kept for generations to come.”
“Clean shop, great product. Fish is nice and thick with a clean batter. Staff are nice and can understand the order! The hotdog doesn't have a stick which was werid. Scoop size is very big. One scoop is huge!”
“The food and service were incredible and very well done. It was definitely cramped as there were a few groups of people, but the order did take a bit to come but it was delicious in the end and worth the wait. The waffles were made well and had a generous amount of toppings and the crepe was made well also with generous amount of filling. Overall good experience and would eat again.”
