Quiet cold Sunday evening, went for the pasta but stood and waited, waited, waited while 2 staff chatted to a customer at the bar. No acknowledgment or interest displayed so eventually wandered back out & went across the road, probably invisible in our passing.
Really disappointing today had fish and chips which was burnt batter on the fish and greasy chips, Tacos were soggy. What happened we have been here a number of times especially for the Sunday lunch but haven't been for a while and it seems the chef is a different calibre. Really sad it's a great spot and used to have great food and service but even that was lacking today. No one asked if food was OK didn't even notice we were waiting, no water offered. Used to be great food and great service not anymore. Won't be returning anymore what a disappointment!!!
Amazing food and drinks, the location is stunning and makes you feel like you’re at a beach resort. Would absolutely come back again.
Sumner Social is definitely a welcome development on the beach front. A fine place for a beer or wine in the sun with really good outdoor seating and a nice open front. The food I will say was a little lack lustre, not bad in anyway, let’s just say I might not knock your socks off. But the service was awesome and friendly and the cocktails and atmosphere were on point.
Nice place to meet down near the beach ! Small yet tasteful menu. The chicken tacos were very good ! Wonderful atmosphere and great staff/owners ! (For all the Canadians out there they have Cesars!!)
