“We recently dined at Mumbaiwala in Christchurch and had a fantastic experience. We ordered the Mumbai Chicken, the Lamb Chef's Special of the Day, Kadai Chicken, Chicken Biryani, and fresh naan. Everything was full of flavour, especially the Mumbai Chicken and Kadai Chicken – both had just the right balance of spice and richness. The Lamb Chef’s Special was beautifully cooked and tender. The naan was soft and perfect for soaking up the sauces. The only slight letdown was the Chicken Biryani – it was decent but didn’t quite stand out compared to the other dishes. Service was friendly and prompt, and the ambiance was vibrant and inviting. Definitely a great place for authentic Indian food in the heart of Christchurch. Looking forward to our next visit!”

“Hands down the best food I have had in all of New Zealand. I went to Spice Paragon with zero expectations as most Thai food in Christchurch is quite average. The prices were a bit much for me at first glance, as I often run on tight budget. Most of the time I will argue that expensive food is not worth it past a certain price point, but that argument failed here. The food arrived within 10 min of ordering and was absolutely stunning visually. We ordered the Pad Thai and a beef dish with a red curry sauce (I can't remember the name) that the waitress recommended. The Pad Thai was delicious, but the beef dish stole the show. The meat was tender, full of flavor, and the sauce it was bathed in was delectable. Portion sizes were large. The waitstaff was exceptionally friendly and attentive for New Zealand standards. The evening atmosphere would make this restaurant a great spot for a date, or a nice dinner with friends and family. If you are looking for a nice dinner spot with bold flavors in Christchurch, this is the place!”

“Oh my, Lazeez is incredible! The two guys that work at the Marshlands store are so lovely and put so much effort and love into the food they make. The hot salads are dangerously good and the meat on chips are always so crispy. The best part is the flavour of the meats, keeps me coming back at least once a week. “This is a lovely wee place that serves your standard cafe food. Nothing fancy or over the top but very well done. The eggs bennie was superb, eggs perfectly runny and a good quantity of delicious bacon (ordered with a side of delightful crispy hashbrowns). The flat white was a perfect flavoured shot and served hot. The staff were also friendly and efficient. I came during early morning as the cafe opens at 7 am, it was a quiet spot where I could enjoy my own company. Wheelchair accessible although the tables can be a tight squeeze to get past in one. Plus an outdoor area perfect for those hot summer days. Free parking lot available but be mindful to park in areas labelled cafe.”
