   Nice atmosphere, but the food didn’t live up to the price. I ordered the Caesar salad, which was bland and lacked dressing. After sending it back, they simply squirted dressing on top. It was still under-seasoned, missing that cheese and came with a fried egg—which felt unusual. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend it back packer style .. and I’m glad I didn’t pay extra for chicken.

   Myself and my partner are up in Christchurch on a trip,we have come from Dunedin. The food here at the two fat possums is a 10/10. I had the beef burger and my partner had the lamb shoulder. Enjoyed every bite!! Highly recommend this place. Helpful and attentive staff and great atmosphere too.

   Unfortunately, there wasn't time to take photos, but if you have time, stop by and try their dishes. They are great tasting, portion size, and quality/price ratio. If it's Saturday night, you might have to wait 15/20 minutes, but it's worth it! They also have highchairs and baskets with toys (which was very useful for our little one).

   Lovely place for a meet up lunch midday. Great service and delicious food. Struggled to eat it all so had to stay till we did. Left about 4 hours later lol. Shared lunch rather than a meal. So good. Thank you. Bringing other half to test taste soon

   Staff are lovely, very attentive and the service was quick. The menu is great, some of the mains you can choose the meat, then choose two different sides from a list. Lots of options. We started with cheesy garlic bread which was great. Then I had the chicken with mushroom sauce, duck fat potatoes and the beetroot salad. The salad was so good! My husband had the pork belly with duck fat potatoes and ranch slaw. The pork belly and apple was delicious (I tried a little) and I'm not a huge fan of pork! At first I thought it might be a bit cosy being next to a decent sized group there for a birthday, but we could easily carry our own conversation. Absolutely be going back!

   Came here for NYE family dinner, everyone loved it! The food was spot on, reasonable prices with good menu variety and portions. We had such a hard time deciding on what to order as everything sounded absolutely amazing. The ribeye steak and crispy pork belly were extremely satisfying. Seafood chowder with garlic bread was amazing too. Creme brulee was perfectly made. Staff were so warm and friendly, very good with the kids. Only wish they had a baby change room, but still giving 5 stars coz it's been so long since we've had such a pleasant and enjoyable dining experience.
