“I go there almost every week with a coffee group. They know my order so well, now i dont even have to ask. The coffee is great (self confessed coffee snob. I will not drink instant) the breakfast, eggs on sourbread toast is what I usually order. It is consistently fabulous every time, thats why I order the same thing. Because I know it is great. The place is clean, tidy. Staff are friendly and inviting. Service is outstanding. I am in a wheelchair and they accommodate my needs..I cannot recommend enough..I tell other people to go there and they trust me because I am so fussy. 5/5 from me..thank you for making Fridays a day to look forward to. “Was totally unprepared for the quality of the food that arrived at our table - Creamy Mushrooms and Lambs Fry and Bacon. It took a little time to prepare because everything was freshly cooked. My lambs fry took me back some 75 years to my grandmother’s kitchen which was not too far from where Kai Kitchen is today. Terrific atmosphere, ever so friendly staff. Do try it - it is a visit you won’t regret.”

“I love the amazing selection of pies you have. Even Duck. It's up there with the Fairlie pie and the West Coast Pie. My 2 Fav pie places. The pastry was flaky, crisp and well cooked. The pies I tried actually had large pieces of meat. Not your normal lots of saucy gunk and token meat. If you were closer to where I lived I am sure I would visit more... Perhaps that is a good thing weight wise. Good luck in your venture and current location.”

“Great food and great people. The staff is always friendly and attentive and the multiple times I have been here the food was never meh. Always a great quality and taste and I like that they regularly vary the menu slightly. Our go to place in Rolly! The atmosphere is elevated pub-restaurant. A few interior design changes and lighting changes to break up the wide open room a bit, could make it feel a bit more cozy. It is still a great atmosphere and feel good restaurant.”

“This evening, a staff member went above and beyond for our family! I believe her name was Kaye, working in the click and collect department this evening. After my husband came home with our order, we realised we were missing a few things. I called up to explain and Kaye was so apologetic and helpful! So much so that she personally delivered our missing items to our home after her shift finished! Just incredible!”

“A very unique café with an internal garden that creates a small indoor sanctuary. There’s also a designer clothing store right next to it, adding to the charm. “We went out to a recommended restaurant for dinner, and the experience was wonderful. The waitress was exceptionally warm, gentle, and welcoming. The dishes take some time to be served since everything is prepared fresh, but it is absolutely worth the wait. For starters, we ordered: – Smoked Burrata with strawberries – beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. – Wild Mushroom Gyoza, served with sesame sauce, chili oil, and an Asian-style salad. An excellent dish, with perfectly steamed dumplings. For the main courses, which are the restaurant’s signature dishes: 1. Fish of the day – salmon, served tender, delicate, and absolutely delicious. 2. Braised Beef Cheek – slow-cooked with miso and sweet potato purée. The dishes were outstanding, beautifully presented, and full of flavor. There is both visual elegance and exceptional taste in every plate. Of course, we couldn’t leave without dessert. We ordered the pudding, which is their signature dessert, and it was excellent as well. We enjoyed the meal so much that we will definitely return to enjoy this wonderful food again, clearly prepared with great care and passion by the chef.”

“We went to The Old Leithfield Hotel for dinner on a busy Saturday night (super rugby final) with our 5 month old baby. Even though we didn't have a booking the friendly wait staff went out of their way to accommodate us and made sure we were comfortable. We both had the roast which was generous and delicious. The beef was tender and the veges perfect it was the best pub experience with a young baby, and the best roast beef. We also had the salt and pepper squid entree which was fantastic. Perfectly tender and crispy! Thank you very much to the team at The Old Leithfield Hotel.”

Very good experience organising this with staff before the event and they were lovely to deal with. Everyone reported they had an amazing time and one of the things everyone has said since the event was "would love to do this again next year". 10/10”

“We had a great experience at this restaurant! We started with the coconut prawns and spring rolls — both were very flavorful and fresh. For mains, we had the Pad Thai and Thai Green Curry, which were absolutely delicious. The service was excellent — the lady who served us was so nice and friendly, and the gentleman was very prompt and attentive. Overall, it was a fantastic experience and we loved the place!”
