    $38 for 500g of ground coffee. I thought C4 was pricey at $60/kilo but this is cuhRAZY. Good coffee, not $38 good. Nice service, very nice ambience and nice muted decor, cool clientele. Cabinet food is too bready, there are a few unremarkable salads and the croissants taste like they came from a 10 pack at New World. God bless Michael Allpress for all his good work but Asahi owns the coffee business now and the shine is gone.

    Came in on a weekday and had the decaf long black. My partner had the latté. Possibly the most delicious and tasty coffee I have ever had! Chocolate undertones and no acidic taste. Their cafe is huge and it was quiet when we went.

    Came in for breakfast and coffee at midday, and apparently run out of food, and no eggs. "Sorry we only have cabinet food available." So what are those pictured? Not eggs? Or can't you be bothered cooking? Very disappointed, what a waste of time especially as we made a detour on our way to Dunedin.

    This place reminds me of some of the great cafes in Melbourne. Very well lit, clean, refreshing warehouse style cafe. Nice selection of small simple takeaway food options and treats. Coffee highly recommended.
