The staff were very friendly, our drinks came out quickly and the food was high quality and delicious. But the food took a bit too long to arrive and it was not busy. The tables were also unlceared, full of dirty dishes. We visited on a public holiday (Day After New Years Day), so possibly under staffed. Otherwise a good experience.
We had such an amazing chocolate caramel slice here. It was the best one we've ever had. The food is well presented, and it tastes really good too. A hidden gem it should be busier here. They do a coffee card so make it a regular place to stop. We even got both cream and yoghurt with our slice because we couldn't decide and too forks. Lovely extra touch.
I go there almost every week with a coffee group. They know my order so well, now i dont even have to ask. The coffee is great (self confessed coffee snob. I will not drink instant) the breakfast, eggs on sourbread toast is what I usually order. It is consistently fabulous every time, thats why I order the same thing. Because I know it is great. The place is clean, tidy. Staff are friendly and inviting. Service is outstanding. I am in a wheelchair and they accommodate my needs..I cannot recommend enough..I tell other people to go there and they trust me because I am so fussy. 5/5 from me..thank you for making Fridays a day to look forward to. I really appreciate it. :)
Lovely to sit there with a lovely meal and watch the world go by. I had brunch with scrambled eggs on ciabatta bread with a side of bacon and a spiced chai latte. Absolutely lovely friendly staff. Across the road from the Travis Wetlands so ideal for a walk then something to eat afterwards.
Bought a Brownie, thought I'd take 'just one bite' before I drove home, but I couldn't stop; it was the Best Brownie EVER. (So rich and a good sized slice too, so it was very filling.) If the rest of the food at Wetlands Eatery is this good, I'm in trouble ; ) )
This place was called Magnolia Cafe. New owners, new name. Nice view across to the Wetlands Walkway. Lovely friendly staff. Good coffee. A good choice of cabinet food, menu also available.
Delicious french toast made with Grizzly bakery brioche. Generous amounts of maple syrup and whole berries in the coulis. Also great coffee thanks. Cabinet food looked interesting and the scones, muffins and scrolls looked delicious. Not sure when I'll get to try them as I'll be coming back just for the French toast! The cafe was moderately busy, seemingly a good turnover of locals. Not too noisy so a good place to work with my laptop for an hour and didn't feel like I was taking up too much space.
Had Lunch here on saturday. The service was friendly and welcoming, the hot chocolates delicious and the food was superb. Hubby had the full breakfast which was generous in portion sizes and perfectly cooked. I had the french toast- it was the best I have ever had. Recommend to everyone and will become regulars ourselves.
