“Our MG ZS went for her annual service and WOF today. Booking online was super smooth and I had a reminder the day before. The staff at reception could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. I even scored a courtesy car as I hadn't realized this service was the 80k bigger one and would take longer than usual. That in itself was huge, as it gave me time to get home (45 mins away), get some work done and then pop back later to grab my car. Absolutely no complaints from us. It has been a joy from go to whoa and back again.”

The lady in the office was really friendly and easy to deal with and is just the great sort of person you want to have assisting you. “Thank you for all the complimentary and the odd not so complimentary reviews as it helps us to learn and provide a better service for you. Id like to clarify the two negative reviews below. A) Yes I did hire a sub-contractor to complete mechanical work in my workshop, on an as and when needed bases. This sub-contractors is no longer utilized by Cactus Cars. However if he chose to take on work for someone else on the weekend at his home around the time he sub-contracted to me and others and the job didn’t go to plan. This would be his business and has nothing to do with me as he wasn’t contracted by Cactus Cars to complete this job. and to be clear Tahlia, your vehicle has never been to by business. B) Your van was towed into us (Not starting) We spent about ½ checking your van and identified the plug leads were not transferring enough power to the spark plugs. You were given a price and agreed to have them replaced. You then asked if this would guarantee to fix it and were told “hopefully” this will be the only issue but couldn’t guarantee it. The plug leads were supplied & changed. The van spun over fast but still wouldn’t fire up. A local auto sparky was called in and was unable to identify any issues The customer was asked if they would like us to investigate further and we were told they were not prepared to pay us to investigate further. The customer was charged for the new plug leads, auto sparkys & our time. The customer then asked if a tow start would work and I advised not to as we didn’t know what the problem is. Later that day the customer decided to try and tow start the van, something broke and the engine seized . To be clear • We have no control over what a sub-contractor does when he’s not sub-contracting to us. • If a customer chooses not to take our advice and something goes wrong. We can’t be held responsible.”

He came across very knowledgeable and I appreciated the note about the DM flywheel and the confirmation that the clutch was still in good condition. It's good to know your car is in the hands of experts who know these vehicles well. Also Marty has helped us out in the past supplying a couple of bolts free of charge which was appreciated. Cheers”

“Great place to find parts for your car, it was bigger than I realized. They have a great system on their website where you find your model car and what part you want. They even tell you what parts have already been taken out of the car, so you don't make a wasted trip out there. Make sure you wear decent footwear to protect your feet from things on the ground and dropping parts on your foot like I did, but thankfully I had my steel cap boots on. The staff are really helpful too and friendly. Remember to bring your tools with you :)”
