These classes helped Matthieu embrace his Filipino culture and gave him a deeper sense of belonging at school, especially since we speak Filipino at home. Seeing that part of his identity reflected and supported in the classroom made a big difference in his confidence and how he connected with others. We’ll always remember how excited he was to share stories about his day. About his friends, the activities he enjoyed, and of course, his teachers. It was clear how much he loved being at Sunshine and how deeply he felt connected to all of you. Please know that what you do each day goes far beyond just a job. “I have followed the IOAI for many years and watched the Institute develop into an all round - open minded club that throws politics out the door and lets students learn at their own pace and their own competent level no matter what style they practice in their own dojo. I have brought a few of my own students to his seminars that are packed with so much information and training ideas from some very high tier instructors who are more than willing to help out any and all visitors. Head instructor Sensei Dunken Francis is not afraid to pressure test any techniques and look at cross-training with other styles, something not often found in the dojos with old style attitudes. “I started classes at reconnection training last summer and they have been absolutely amazing for so many reasons. I consider myself as reasonably fit with an active physical job, Gabrielle always pushes me to reach new strengths and boundaries whilst looking out meticulously at form and movement. The classes are always very varied and different and have strong movement focus which has increased my flexibility and strength in muscles I didn't even know I had. I always come away feeling muscle soreness (in a good way) I love that the sessions are outdoors on the beach when the weather omits and it's such a great start to the day with swims in the sea afterwards (totally optional lol) We always have a great laugh when working out and there's always people of varying abilities which are all accommodated for. I couldn't recommend these classes enough!”

“Best place to train I’ve personally trained there mauy Thai and boxing sinc ethe place use to be etk north shore and become really good mates with the owner and very very friendly people so don’t be shy to come on down if you wanna train for any sport or you have a boxing or mauy Thai fight coming up just come on in if you need boxing let Craig know and also I think there is boxing at urban sports now!”

We reached out to the ADC team hoping to learn something classic and simple for our wedding dance. With Kim's guidance, we came out with so much more: memorable and super fun dance sessions, vocal coaching here and there, and even performing at the latest ADC Show. All of this culminated in a meticulously crafted, show-stopping wedding dance which all our family & friends absolutely loved! Everything was way over and beyond what we dreamed of, but we found that pushing what we thought we were capable of was such a good decision. We were able to so easily pick up the dance with the perfect amount of practise - all within a positive, energetic environment.
