   Had Christmas lunch at Cheeky Chapati. Food was top notch. We started with the Curry Bombs our personal favorite. All the food was packed with flavor. Staff were very friendly and can highly remember. Definitely will visit again and can highly recommend if you want a tasty flavor bomb experience. Thank for making our Christmas meal a lovely memorable experience.

   Cheeky Chapati were the caterers for our Diwali Extravaganza fundraiser event for Harbour Hospice on 18 October 2025. Right from the early discussions, planning the event, agreeing the nature of the service to be provided, guidance on choosing the menu options and then delivering superb food and service on the night, Jassi and his team were excellent to work with. The result on the night was absolutely exceptional! All guests raved about the fantastic food, and plenty of it and, along with the wonderful floorshows, lighting, ambiance and energy you would have felt like you were transported to India. Thank you, Cheeky Chapati for helping us achieve a wonderful fundraising result for Harbour Hospice. Very highly recommended. Theo Simeonidis Rotary Club of Orewa-Millwater

   Fantastic dinner tonight at Cheeky Chapati. Our first time and we were so impressed with the quality of the food. Great friendly service and great timing on the delivery of our meals. The best lamb sagwala I have ever had and the most beautiful butter chicken. Entrees were so flavoursome too and beautifully presented. Our new favourite Indian dine in restaurant.

   First time visiting and was blown away by the food!!! Some of the yummiest and tastiest we have both had! We got a mixture of entrees and they did not disappoint! Fresh, flavorsome and delicious! We will be back to try the curries next time and we can’t wait! Great service with friendly staff!

   This was our favourite restaurant for a curry night. We'd given up eating in the restaurant because of the service, waiting an hour for food while others came sat down and ate. So we ordered for delivery, took 75mins and arrived cold. Next time our order declined because they were too busy, the food is great. Tried Uber tonight, paid extra to get priority delivery which was only $2, arrived quick and hot, thought this is the way to go. Sadly no, no rice with a $75 order for 2 people. I called the restaurant and apparently Uber is expensive to them so they aren't including rice anymore. So the curry us going cold while we hungrily watch the rice cooker. I would have cooked rice while waiting but no mention when ordering. Perhaps better not to advertise 99c delivery, happy to pay more for the convenience of delivery with rice. Sorry Cheeky I give up, nice food if you can get it!

   Food was not that special yes goat curry said bones in but a bowl of bones a table spoon of meat at best was sad. Never got the nann I ordered and they never checked if we wanted more drinks. Bathrooms were not clean , staff didn't understand us.

   The place is quite nice close to Orewa Beach and their menu is extensive. Portion sizes are good, as is the quality of the food. The lamb had quite a few black burnt marks which I didn't like, and far too much graham masala and other spices in the sauce for a mild dish, which left a bad aftertaste. They also gave us 1 portion of rice for 2 people which I thought was a bit stingy considering the 2 dishes in the photos cost $ 55.
