   THIS PLACE! I flew in on Auckland and by accident stumbled on this little gem. I never had carrot cake... Needless to say it was DELICIOUS. Homemade, owner bakes it himself. The atmosphere is also wonderfull. I went around NZ after this first cake... Never had the same taste in my mouth again! Until I visited back when I had to leave NZ... Each bite is perfect! Staff is soo friendly and genuine trying to build something nice up. It's a pity a lot of old reviews are bringing this score down (it was the previous owner), because it deserves a freaking big score ❤️ It is a small caffee, so expect when it's busy some waiting time to get in.

   This is a true hidden gem cafe in Takapuna, they have the most amazing garden at the back where not a lot of people know of. I love their customer service, the food portion and definitely coming back for the homemade pastry and cakes!

   Lovely spot for summer with a beautiful garden. The waffle was well presented and delicious, and the latte was great too. Highly recommend! The iced matcha was a bit milky for me, but the rest of the experience was great. The service was wonderful as well :) The garden seat is a bit hidden on the right side of the indoor café next to the salon, but it’s a lovely place to sit! Just let the staff know if you’d like to use it and they’ll bring the menu out for you.

   ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Five stars — and it deserves even more. Stumbled across Plum Café in Takapuna today and honestly… what a hidden gem. Out the back is the most stunning little secret garden — sun streaming in, peaceful, beautifully set up — it feels like you’ve discovered Takapuna’s best-kept secret. The food was exceptional. Generous portions, great flavours, and a menu full of things you actually want to choose from. Everything was fresh, well-balanced, and made with real care. Service was warm, the atmosphere is perfect, and that garden alone is worth the visit. This place should be a go-to for anyone in the area. Five stars plus. Highly recommend.

   Came on this Sunday 11am , waiting 1 hour for beef burger, open omelette and 2 kids dishes. Very very disappointed about the serving size and no decoration on every dishes. No difference to the homemade, even worse. Spend $80 for nothing, and showing no apologies. Will never come again and very frustrating about this experience.

   My first time using a QR menu love how easy it was. The courtyard garden is accessible via a corridor. This is a quiet oasis. Great range of food the usual with so unique items. Definitely recommend this place.
