They are really busy on Fridays at peak times (because it’s so good) but staff are always super friendly and helpful. We make sure to order around 5pm on a Friday for shorter wait times. I wish I remembered the name of the gentleman who looked after us: he was outstanding. He explained the menu with such honesty, knowledge, and enthusiasm, and it was clear he had a deep understanding of both the dishes and the restaurant itself. We were unsure what to order because everything looked so good and we couldnt decide as we wanted to try everything. he guided us perfectly, giving thoughtful recommendations and going above and beyond to make sure we chose what suited us best. Even though the restaurant was full, he was attentive, quick, and genuinely warm smiling the whole time and clearly enjoying what he does. It’s rare to find service like that these days. The food was just as impressive. We had a meat dish (piatto con carne) that was one of the best mains I’ve ever had in Auckland, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The linguine pasta was also delicious. But the star for me was the olive ascolane: even better than the ones I’ve had in Italy. For dessert, the cannoli was outstanding, the perfect sweet ending to an unforgettable meal. Even when it came time to pay, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and made us feel welcome right up until the very end. We truly enjoyed every moment of our experience here and will definitely be back. Highly, highly recommended!”

“Eaten brunch here a couple of times. Eggs bene and avo on toast. Good both times. Has become a regular stop for a coffee and cake after a dog walk. There are 2 doors, so ordering and counter food is done in the back corner. You can then walk outside to the diner and take a seat. Makes for a nice quiet area to chat while waiting for food as no coffee machine working! Dog friendly and outside seating area for firry friends.”

“This cafe was recommended to us by a family member for superb salmon bagels. Boy were we not disappointed. I prefer cooked salmon and nothing was too much bother to lightly grill the smoked salmon. It was amazing and very generous. All our table loved everything they had, fettuccine, blat, gf french toast and two salmon bagels. We loved to cafe, friendly, wonderful ambience.
