   First of all, it’s not called Piknic Cafe, any longer. It’s now Good Hood cafe. This made us drive past it 2-3 times, before we realised, the name had changed. We only had coffees, which came out quickly and the staff were very friendly. Couldn’t really gauge the atmosphere, as we were sitting outside. There’s not a lot of parking. There are about 4-5 parking spaces in front of the place…the rest are on the street. Which might clog up the road. Otherwise, a nice enough place.

   Eaten brunch here a couple of times. Eggs bene and avo on toast. Good both times. Has become a regular stop for a coffee and cake after a dog walk. There are 2 doors, so ordering and counter food is done in the back corner. You can then walk outside to the diner and take a seat. Makes for a nice quiet area to chat while waiting for food as no coffee machine working! Dog friendly and outside seating area for firry friends.

   Delicious food & great service. I was blown away on their prices too, so competitive compared with the current market. Their kids' menu is just $8, for example. Very good value for the money. I truly enjoyed the Italian Lady & French toast dishes, and the cappuccino was made to perfection.

   Cute little cafe in castor bay. Came here many years ago but it's since grown bigger. Menu has good choices. I had the kids meal, scrambled eggs and bacon and toast. Would have been good had the toast been buttered. My pet hate however is scrambled eggs cooked with oil. This is the reason I'm marking down. On the plus side. The coffee was fantastic, couldn't fault it in any way at all. They use Allpress, consistently good. Handy water bowls between tables for dogs.

   Cute little Café with takeaway-options. Very close to the beach and pretty much one of the only localities in Castor Bay. Dog-friendly: Hooks for dog leashes and water-bowls. Seating options outside and inside. A little bit too expensive though.
