“One of the best Indian Restaurant in west Auckland. You don’t find the authentic Indian taste everywhere in Auckland but Shahi is a must visit for all the food lovers. Amazing food with great service from the team . The owners are very welcoming. It’s my go to place every weekend . You must try the Palak Paneer/Veg Kofta /Veg Biryani and Momos they are very good . I am a vegetarian but my friends have tried lamb biryani and curry and they like it a lot.”
“One of the best authentic Napolitan pizza/calzzone you can have in Auckland. We ordered the Diego Armando pizza and a Napolitano Calzzone. AMAZING. 10/10”
“A truly exceptional fine dining experience. Each dish was thoughtfully crafted with rich layers of flavor and beautiful presentation. The service was warm, attentive, and professional throughout. An unforgettable lunch, prefect for special occasions or anyone seeking culinary artistry in Auckland.”
“Such a good experience. The dishes were fresh and full of flavour, and everything came out fast. The staff were super friendly and really on to it. The atmosphere was relaxed and felt genuinely welcoming. The food was so good I caught myself saying美味しいwithout even thinking. Easy five stars ありがとうございます。”
“I had an amazing experience dining at Sidart with my partner. The waiter and waitress were attentive and the food was served at a very good pace - not left too long between the courses. The food itself was absolutely delicious, one of my favourite out of all the degustation meals I’ve had. The flavour combination was unique and finely balanced, and the amount of food did not left me too hungry or too full by the end of the night. Would highly recommend this restaurant to others and will be sure to come back soon :)”
“They offer good shisha, delicious food, and drinks. They both have indoor and outdoor dining. The shisha is outdoors with heater and they provide blankets if you wish to have one. The place gets really busy no matter which day - that’s how good they are. The food I enjoy the most is their cheesy mayo fries. It’s crispy and the amount of cheese and mayo is not too overwhelming. I also enjoy their Iraqi tea. I never would have thought I’d enjoy a cardamom taste on my tea. It soothes my throat and warms me on winter nights. Their shisha is 50/50 and I guess it depends on who makes it. But it is definitely a place to catch up with friends over food and shisha. Especially when you’re stressed and just want to relax. The staff are very lovely. They try their best to be attentive to everyone, even when busy. They always greet us with a smile. The owner is such a lovely lady and will welcome you like a family. They do have a good selection of meals and desserts. They also have RTDs, beer, cocktails, mocktails, etc. Suitable for all group size. I highly recommend.”
“The Beer Spot is for everyone that likes beer and wine, exceptional craft beers, usually local and of course magnificent NZ wines. So much choice on tap and you are welcome to taste everything before settling on a favorite. Very well setup, plenty to do or just listen to music, some days it's live. Food is by food truck with amazing variety. Highly recommended and well worth a visit.”
“Father’s Day 2025 celebration was had here, the place was bustling with diners enjoying themselves with food and drinks served by wonderful wait staff, prices are reasonable and quantity is satisfying as is the presentation and taste. We had a small wait which was acceptable, due to the number of happy clients! I would wholeheartedly recommend Cafe Lincoln for a nice friendly experience! Arthur C. Charlton west Auckland NZ”
“Amazing tacos! Great tortillas and perfect amount of meat for each taco. The Mango agua Fresca was just right not too sweet and very refreshing. Will definitely be back for more”
“Bar Celeste has become a bit of a K Rd institution. Food excellent - contemporary European, fabulous wine and attentive service.”
“Loved my night at the basement theatre watched survive with Adam Burrell best show!”
“Best ramen around, lovely staff, no complaints at all, very well priced.”
“We were sitting in the restaurant trying to remember a similar dining experience. We went through all the Sydney fine dining you would expect, extended out to NSW, across Australia and there ended up being only 2 experiences we felt were equivalent. L'en-clume a 3 Michelin star pop up in Sydney in 2023, from the UK that we were lucky enough to experience when they were in Sydney. L'en-clume are coming back to Sydney! we are hoping to get tickets and go again! - we actually still have the Kale plant they gave us as a gift when we left the restaurant, growing in our garden! The second equivalent experience would be Hentley Farm Restaurant The food ate The Grove is superb, truly experimental, truly interesting, but with a keen eye for flavor and the experience of dining. The Horse Mussel and Wasabi, Wasabi were both stand outs, but anything on the menu would stand up in any kitchen in the world. The wine pairing was superb with the palate of @andreamartinisi intertwining and layering the experience of the wine with the food. Service, impeccable. Get in quick, the owners are calling it a day after 20 years and close in late March 2025.”
“Culprit had been on our must-try list for a while, thanks to its reputation for contemporary New Zealand cuisine. We finally got the chance to experience it for our wedding anniversary dinner—and it did not disappoint! We opted for the seasonal menu with wine pairings and couldn’t resist adding a Culprit classic as well. Every bite was a delight. Truly loved it! The restaurant’s soft music, stylish décor, and gentle lighting created the perfect romantic and relaxing atmosphere. A big thank you to the professional and friendly staff who made our evening even more special. Keep up the amazing work! Culprit has officially earned a spot as one of our favourite date night spots in Auckland CBD.”
“Went on a whim for lunch and wasn’t disappointed. We sat at the bar with the chefs, who were happy to explain things. Great service, super tasty food (the anchovy is unlike what we usually get here in NZ), and a reasonable Champagne price (for a restaurant). Menu is seasonal but see pics for the food we enjoyed—lighting wasn’t the best where we were, but you get the idea. We’ll be back!”
“Our favourite local! We’ve started visiting a couple times a week now as we love the friendly environment and amazing food and drinks. I’d highly recommend visiting you’ll become a regular too! ☺️”
“Great food. they accommodate the spicy level. Hardly seen in Western cafes or restos where they feed the whole staff, they should.”
“Spice Club Indian Restaurant Great service and friendly staff. Made me feel very welcome. Highly recommend! Maria ❤️ Auckland”
“This restaurant was excellent. My wife and I came here on a rainy Thursday evening after work, it had been on my watchlist for a while. We didn’t have a reservation, but luckily we were able to get a good table. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered two of their signature dishes: the pineapple prawn red curry and the prawn and chicken Pad Thai. The red curry was served inside a whole pineapple, which was both impressive and delicious. It had big, juicy prawns and the balance of spicy curry and sweet pineapple was perfect, definitely well deserved as a signature dish. The Pad Thai was also great, flavourful and satisfying. The atmosphere was warm and cozy, with just the right level of noise to feel lively but not overwhelming. Parking was a bit tricky since the shared lot behind the restaurant is narrow and limited, but it was worth the effort. Highly recommend this place, we absolutely loved it!”
“A cool idea to combine dining and board games together. Great for dates and group gatherings. The staff were helpful and friendly, and I was really impressed by the food. I wasn't expecting a lot from the food selection (thought it would all be finger foods) since I thought the main draw was the board games, but the food was actually really good. The chicken burrito and Korean Bulgolgi bowls were very flavourful, well seasoned and had generous portions. I ate my cheeseburger so fast because I was so hungry but the burger was nice, it had a thick juicy patty with very beefy flavours. We also braved the spicy chicken tender roulette, it was a bit expensive, $20 for only 6 tender strips, but one of them was super spicy, and we had a ball taking turns to see who got it. We played "Articulate" and it was a lot of fun. I did hope the board games were a little better maintained as ours was falling apart. I suppose the staff are busy and it's a bit difficult to keep track of the wellbeing of all of those board games. There was a wide range of game selection, and a great team bonding experience. I would love to return again with friends.”
“This isn't your usual burger joint; I'd describe it as a more upscale option compared to the cheaper alternatives. Having sampled most of their burgers, I can vouch for their deliciousness. The chicken raptor stands out as my favorite with its perfect blend of onion rings and fried chicken. If you're in the area or passing through, it's definitely worth a stop. They serve promptly, and the fries complement the meal excellently.”
“Really great food. Satay Tofu and Boa Burger were delicious. Nice atmosphere and super friendly staff. So delicious”
“This Japanese restaurant in Newmarket is such a delightful gem, offering you delicious menu with high quality ingredients with authentic flavours. The chef is amazing, she cooks succulent chicken with a healthy mix of tsukemono and options to choose purple rice. Even their miso soup comes with chopped tofu. They change their tsukemono on different days. So far the karaage chicken and teriyaki chicken are delicious, feels like a hearty Japanese home cooking. Give them a whirl — just across the Newmarket train station!”
“The toasted chicken club is a regular favourite, and I love seeing creative coffee art”
“A huge selection of beer and spacious areas to catch up with groups of people. In the middle of an industrial area with little else around, it is a good location among the suburbs. Accompanied by a rotating food truck parked just outside that can fuel you. This time there was a Filipino food truck with delicious options @thebeerspot”
“Our first time here and we were very pleased with the ambience, food, staff and prices. The place filled up quickly with customers, but it didn't slow down the dishing out of food. The owner was walking around talking to the patrons and the wait staff were quick in attending to tables and bringing out orders. It was very very windy and cold outside, but with the windows closed and the heat pumps on, it very pleasant inside. Will definitely visit again, but maybe in summer when the weather permits us to sit outside and enjoy the beach!”
“Sure! Here's a polished restaurant review you can use, focusing on the "very good food" and "Moosa Kebab": --- Restaurant Review: Moosa Kebab – A Hidden Gem with Seriously Good Food If you're looking for flavorful, well-prepared food that hits the spot every time, Moosa Kebab is a must-visit. This place might not have the flashiest exterior, but once you're inside, the quality of the food does all the talking. From the moment the kebabs hit the table, you know you're in for something special. The meat is tender, juicy, and perfectly spiced—clearly marinated with care and grilled to perfection. Each bite is packed with flavor, and the portions are generous without being overwhelming. But it's not just the kebabs that shine here. The entire menu reflects a commitment to fresh ingredients and authentic taste. Whether you're going for their grilled platters, curries, or even the fresh naan, everything feels homemade and satisfying. Service is friendly and efficient, and the staff seem genuinely proud of the food they serve—which they should be. Prices are fair, especially considering the quality and taste. Verdict: Moosa Kebab delivers very good food, every time. If you're a fan of bold flavors and perfectly cooked kebabs, don't miss this spot. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ (5/5) --- Would you like a shorter version or a version in a more casual tone?”
“I love their roast, it’s a must-visit spot on the coast. I’m from the shore and would happily drive there just for a roast. The pricing is fair, and the meat and vegetables are of high quality. 5 stars :)”
“Warmest service and lovely homely atmosphere! We popped in for a quick sweet treat and coffee. But the real bright spot was the spritely and warm lady at the counter who gave us a complimentary Thai salad to try (yum).”
“Lovely staff who came and turned the outdoor heater on beside me. He also checked how everything was halfway through the meal. The coffee was beautiful. I had eggs benny with avocado and haloumi and I would definitely have it again! Beautiful presentation and delicious. Will definitely be back!”
