“When I first seen the size of the dishes I said: where do we go to have a pizza or else after as I'm famished. But was I disappointed....?! Yes in a good way. The last bites from the last dish I couldn't even eat it anymore.Each bite from each and every dish was not what it seemed to be....all was bursting of flavour. Your tongue gets super excited and buzzes....it is like a culinary orgasm...so you better wait at least half a minute before you take another bite. And prepare for surprises everything will taste differently than you expect to.And every little detail from plate to arrangement is very expertly chosen.And really you have to allow 2.5hrs for the full 7 dish menu....you can't rush it or you spoil it. So even if outside looks very simple and you would not expect for such a restaurant in that place prepare for Michelin macromolecular type of cuisine to delight you. Well done to Kazuya and the whole team.”

“We tried the tortellini and spaghetti bolognaise, it was absolutely delicious. It’s been a while since we’ve been to a proper Italian restaurant and this one didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere is beautiful, service is attentive and friendly. We will come back if we are in this area again.”

The staff were not only incredibly friendly but also impressively knowledgeable, making the evening feel special from start to finish. Even getting to pick my own knife for one of the dishes - a very special touch. Every dish was strikingly presented with precision and bursting with flavour. Highly recommend making Paris Butter a priority on your dining list, it’s an experience not to be missed.”

We tried the Mediterranean chicken, bread, and dips, especially recommending Love in Sam's special dip. Give it a go!”

“Ali is amazing and cooks with his heart and soul. All I can say is these are the BEST Kebabs and Shish Kebabs I've had in Auckland, made with so much love and served with a smile always. The quantity of meat in the kebabs is great too, true value for money, not like the ones with the sauces you normally get. “I finally popped in here for lunch! This place has been on my radar a long time and it did not disappoint. Super welcoming staff, very cute decor. “It was pretty busy when we dropped in, so it took a bit to get our food but it was SO GOOD. The atmosphere is super fun, and the guy (owner?) serving us was fantastic and made sure nothing was too spicy for the kids. We got the jerk chicken, wings, Mac n cheese, empanadas, and the curry with chicken and everything was AMAZING.”

“Had a great experience overall! The food was absolutely excellent—every course was full of flavour and beautifully presented. The crew was warm and attentive, and the ambience was really cool and inviting. A special shoutout to the bartender—absolutely amazing! The only downside was the wait time. Our three-course meal took over two hours, which felt a bit too long. That said, the quality and vibe made it worth the wait. Would still recommend, especially if you're not in a rush.”

“We heard about this restaurant through the local Thai community page on Facebook. We went there for Saturday lunch and are very pleased we did. It brings back fond memories of time we have spent in Thailand. Inside it is cosy and the decor is quite interesting and not overstated. The menu seems to be based on Thai street food plus many of our favorites, we had Basil stir fry with pork mince, Moo Ping and the best dish of all, crispy Pork belly with stir fried vegetables. I haven't had such good trasting crispy pork for many years. Everything was so good we bought two more dishes and took them home for dinner. However, of late they have been a bit Lackadaisical, opening late or not opening at scheduled time, without notice or advice on the various websites.”

“Top notch Napoli-style pizza, the best in the area. Crisp bases and fresh toppings with punchy flavours. The packs of pre-made bases are worth getting too, for days when you want to make something at home. Highly recommended!”

“I had the best day at Yawara Ramen bar. The ramen is affordable and super delicious (some of the best ramen I’ve ever had as someone who has been to Japan). The portion sizes are generous and even the regular leaves you more than satisfied. The staff were super friendly and down to Earth. I had some wonderful conversations with the man with the kuma (くま) on his shirt! After lunch we went to the cafe section of the restaurant and bought so many treats that were equally as delicious. Extensive matcha menu is something I would like to try and will definitely be back. I loved it at Yawara Ramen bar!”

It's consistently very tasty and perfectly refreshing, with that great balance of lemon juice, fish sauce, and garlic. “Stunningly beautiful food. The best Japanese restaurant in Auckland, hands down. Exceptionally fresh seafood prepared with such care and skill… attention to detail across all elements of plating and service… a warm, relaxed yet higher-end dining experience - it’s one of the best meals out I’ve ever had. The food was just immaculate - after tasting this tempura prawn maki you understand what this dish could be… so juicy and massive and generous and fresh are those prawns with that tender perfect rice and light tempura crunch paired with the creamy avocado - it’s just incredible. The sake selection is also so beautiful… there is so much crap sake floating around Auckland… this is the standard of excellence. We had such an amazing time. It’s a really special place.”

“Our daughter just had her wedding service and dinner here, and it was absolutely fantastic. Gillian was fabulous to work with, easy to get gold of and very accommodating throughout various meetings held in preparation. The waiting staff on the night were wonderful- so friendly and cheerful. Our meal was amazing. We loved the room we hired- it was the perfect size for our party of 30, and mingling out on the deck while the couple were off for wedding photos was lovely. We truly loved our time so much- couldn't fault anything. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Ps I couldn't comment on the noise level and reservation as they weren't really applicable as we weren't in the main restaurant.”

“Ordered 60 pieces of sushi, and they performed above expectations! I ordered teriyaki chicken, katsu, vegetarian and avocado salmon. They packaged it prettily and delivered to my doorstep with perfect timing! Even better, the sushi tasted marvellous— freshly made, well pressed together, deeeliiciousss! The lovely lady was very patient and kind as well, and we had a lovely chat about what event I was hosting at my place. Hope Boss Sushi steadily builds a loyal customer population!”

The Desi style butter chicken quite good too as it wasn't sweet at all. Would definitely like to revisit and try other items on the menu.”

Incredible value for money, the flavours were great and presentation beautiful. Ended it off with the Mango ice cream which was perfect - fruity but not too sweet. You couldn't fault the service. Friendly, professional and educated on Indian cuisine. The atmosphere and environment was vibrant but chill. Lovely acoustic music playing - not too loud which can happen a lot at restaurants. Overall, would come here again in a heartbeat!”
