I love their roast, it’s a must-visit spot on the coast. I’m from the shore and would happily drive there just for a roast. The pricing is fair, and the meat and vegetables are of high quality. 5 stars :)

Best Roast in Auckland. They are hot, fresh, and have desserts available. Super friendly staff, very quick service.

We passed thru enroute from Queenstown to Whangarei around 7pm .. on a Weds evening.... No wait and the SMALL roast meals were simply excellant both in meat and food quality but volume... As long term local Queenstowners.... The pricing was considerably less than were we live...... Well done guys... we wish you all the best for the future....

Unfortunately it’s been like this the last few times we’ve ordered, it tastes like retirement home roast or worse because it’s tough as well as bland. Watery gravy, undercooked pumpkin, tough meat and everything bland. All three of us agreed. Each time I say let’s not eat there again but then we end up coming back hopeful this time it will be different. I still hope for that, it could be improved, hence why I’m providing this feedback. Maybe ask your most honest friends to do a taste check on everything. Maybe some more recent (a few months ago) changes to recipes need to be reviewed again. I’d love to enjoy your food and I’d love for your business to always do well. Put three stars because you clearly work hard and are good people. Sorry to be a downer.

Extremely disappointing. I only wanted roast potatoes and a couple of kumara. Not only did the girl give me only 1 smashed kumara when I asked for 2 and paid for 2. But she also made sure to give me the smallest, most squashed, oily and soggy spuds. I did comment when she gave me the bags but she told me they were "freshly made". Rubbish!! Paid for 25 potatoes got 23 that were obviously not newly made. I took a photo of the "2" kumara and of 2 of the potatoes. Yuck. What a waste of money! Only go there if you want to be ripped off! It was disgusting and did not feed the tribe at all!!

Alright food. Fried chicken was dry and could do with a larger quantity of dip for the price charged. Waiting staff slightly untrained, can do better with customer service. Overall might come back to try something else.

We stopped by for lunch after going to Snowplanet. We took away our meal to eat at the beach. We were there on a Friday and they, fortunately, had brisket available. Unfortunately, the ribs were only available after 1600. We grabbed a large portion of the brisket and the roast pork. The staff were really helpful and friendly, suggesting what we should order for our group. The brisket was delicious, nice flavour and quite juicy. The pork was a little dry but the crackling was amazing and we got quite a large tub of gravy with the meals. It came with the standard sides; peas, carrot, kumara, potato and pumpkin. The potato was amazing with a nice crunchy outer layer and creamy interior. It was a nice place for a quick meal but it was a bit disappointing that the ribs weren't available for lunch.
