   If you are in Auckland and looking for legit tacos, this is the place. I was visiting from CA and was going through Mexican food withdrawal, well, definitely yearning for spicy. Anyway, I cannot express how great and flavorful these tacos are, they are done right. I can't even get it like this in San Francisco. You can tell from the first bite into the steak tacos how well marinated they are and just the layers of flavor, and put some salsa macha on it and it's to die for. This place has ruined me from eating other steak tacos when I came back to CA. Now I'm planning when I'll return because these are truly special. Auckland you captured my heart and never would I have guessed you would have this hidden gem in your beautiful country.

   OMG this place is SO good!! Authentic delicious Mexican. Love the tacos and quesadillas... And they're gluten free!! The bean soup is deliciosa!! And they have horchata (fav Mexican drink) soooo glad to have La Mexicana Grey Lynn in my hood. Gracias!!!

   I love La Mexicana. I have been a regular for years- if you are looking for authentic Mexican tacos, this is one of the top places in Auckland! I always get the Asada, however have tired most of the tacos, you cannot go wrong whatever your flavor is. If you haven’t tried already, hurry up it’s fantastic!    If you want to try real Mexican food, this is the place. They also offer some imported drinks from Mexico. You may think the tacos are small, but is how they are originally served. They currently serve 3 taquitos for 20$. Also, there's two vegetarian options.

   The steak tacos were delicious! My only comment is that the portions were quite small so you definitely would not feel satisfied with just three tacos. Other than that, I would highly recommend if you’re craving Mexican food.

   Best tacos not sure but they were good. I got the Birria Beef tacos which I thought would come with sauce on the side but had to pay extra for the sauce. The flavors are great. The corn tortillas were great texture, good ratio of filling, I wanted more onion & coriander to cut the richness of flavors. I also got the Flan which was so yumm & I wanted more. Definitely get the horchata

   If you're after authentic Mexican tacos for a good value, I highly recommend visiting it. Very friendly staff and great ambiance. Also highly recommend trying the Mexican Coke if they are available, will go great with the food here.

   Had seen these guys on tiktok last week and decided to try them out tonight. Amazing. Had the Birria Tacos and the Asado with the Birria broth on the side, It was soooo yummy, the bf and I can not stop talking about those tacos. The Birria was tender and flavourful and the broth was just amazing, it reminded me so much of my grandpa's cooking. The Asado was also so juicy and full of flavour, a splash of lemon juice on it and you're sent to another dimension. We will 100% be back!
