What a wonderful experience. Very friendly staff and host. The food was great with helpful suggestions. Then to top it we were served by n medical doctor helping in her family business. A beautiful friendly Christian lady. Will definitely be back. Thank for the opportunity to dine in your wonderful establishment.
This is the place to go!!!! Best food, the best service and amazing atmosphere. The dishes are huge in portion and priced very well. All the food is packed with flavour and don’t even start on the desserts. This restaurant can accommodate for large groups and serves all the food at once. I came in with my family of 15 and the food came out so quickly and tasted so so fresh. I would highly recommend the rice dishes and platters. Came back for drinks and shisha and the place is amazing
They offer good shisha, delicious food, and drinks. They both have indoor and outdoor dining. The shisha is outdoors with heater and they provide blankets if you wish to have one. The place gets really busy no matter which day - that’s how good they are. The food I enjoy the most is their cheesy mayo fries. It’s crispy and the amount of cheese and mayo is not too overwhelming. I also enjoy their Iraqi tea. I never would have thought I’d enjoy a cardamom taste on my tea. It soothes my throat and warms me on winter nights. Their shisha is 50/50 and I guess it depends on who makes it. But it is definitely a place to catch up with friends over food and shisha. Especially when you’re stressed and just want to relax. The staff are very lovely. They try their best to be attentive to everyone, even when busy. They always greet us with a smile. The owner is such a lovely lady and will welcome you like a family. They do have a good selection of meals and desserts. They also have RTDs, beer, cocktails, mocktails, etc. Suitable for all group size. I highly recommend.
Food was so fresh, absolutely loved it. Staff were really nice and friendly, enjoyed our meal more because the staff was amazing. Seating was spacious. Family friendly. We loved the desserts as well as the kebabs, very delicious and portion size with every meal was perfect. We couldn’t finish our food so we took it home and they also gave us a dessert to try on the house and we loved it. Thank you for a great experience
The food was amazing and cheap but these guys have the best service! I forgot something at the restaurant and sent an Uber to pick it up, they took it all they way out to the car and verified the driver for me. Highly highly recommend them! We’re from Australia, and we’ve never had suck good, cheap middle eastern food before!!
I may have a slight Ishtar addiction! I love this place, best Mediterranean restaurant in Papakura, it’s always a delight to see the friendly staff they make you feel right at home! I’ve had almost every dish at Ishtar now but my favourite has to be all the lamb kebab dish & milkshakes/mocktails Highly recommended!
