“This restaurant offers the most excellent customer service on K Road. After a cozy dinner nearby, my partner and I visited despite the rainy weather. The staff greeted us warmly, making us feel comfortable and welcome. The ambiance was luxurious, and the bar inside was fabulous without being noisy. We noticed many couples enjoying their wines and cocktails after dinner. We ordered a Polite Martini cocktail, which had a strong and authentic gin flavour. I initially ordered it for my partner, but she found it too strong, so I ended up drinking it all - it was very good! I also ordered a beer for myself. We had an excellent time there. The place was open and warm, and the beautiful alcoholic drinks combined with the kind service made us feel relaxed and comfortable, allowing us to chat a lot. For dessert, we ordered the Buñuelo, a gelato with a sour taste that I loved. Overall, this restaurant was fantastic. Great service, great drinks. Highly recommended!”

“This Japanese restaurant in Newmarket is such a delightful gem, offering you delicious menu with high quality ingredients with authentic flavours. The chef is amazing, she cooks succulent chicken with a healthy mix of tsukemono and options to choose purple rice. Even their miso soup comes with chopped tofu. They change their tsukemono on different days. So far the karaage chicken and teriyaki chicken are delicious, feels like a hearty Japanese home cooking. Give them a whirl — just across the Newmarket train station!”

“I always love dining at Candela. Another visit last night only solidified how this restaurant is a leader in hospitality and dining - not only in Auckland but across New Zealand. The fresh ingredients and considered dishes balancing exotic flavours always leave me wanting more (which is why I have to make a monthly visit!!). The management and team are so professional - never missing any of the intricate details that make your experience so special. “Amazing coffee and cheese scone! would recommend booking in advance as on weekend they can get very busy, lucky to get a table without booking the other day. had salmon dish and creamed paua, the price is def higher for the portion you get but the quality and taste makes up for it. and the coffee is def the best in Auckland imo, I would come back even just for a cup of coffee and cheese scone. They are also pet friendly, so easy to take your dog walking around marina afterwards”

“One of my favourite places to eat in Browns Bay, I’ve been a regular customer for quite some time and always get the same order. The chicken is always fresh, never dry and super tasty. I always add onion powder to my chips as it gives so much flavour. The store is always neatly presented, very clean and the owner is super lovely. Good prices and great portion size. Highly recommend Dakogi! 10/10”

“Phenomenal meal at The Chefs Indian Restaurant last night. This is a true “hidden gem”, tucked away in Howick where you wouldn’t expect it. The food was very high quality - delicious entrees, mains and breads. The staff were friendly and kind and generous. The cost was very fair and great value for money. Vege curries were $17.90 and breads were $5-$6. Highly recommend!”
