BBC is an excellent dining venue - staff are very cheery, the atmosphere is enhanced by the very well behaved pooches enjoying the ambience. It was perfect to celebrate my husband's birthday there, along with our Auckland based family - daughter and grand-dog. Not our first experience there - very unlikely to be our last. Awesome!
I have the Pie, and I've never been happier, The pie, chicken has a really nice pastry, the gravy could win awards and the vegetables were very generous. The Service is great and this is a really pleasing and pleasant venue with great knowledgeable staff.
Our favourite local! We’ve started visiting a couple times a week now as we love the friendly environment and amazing food and drinks. I’d highly recommend visiting you’ll become a regular too! ☺️
What can say? The glass is almost empty. It was very tasty. Should I get another? Mmmmm. So many choices. Love the BBC. You will too.
I'm not a local as such but regularly drop in for a couple of beers while our daughter attends a Shore Dance lesson around the corner. My wife teases me that I must feel like Nigel no Friends drinking alone but BBC is truely a place that is so welcoming to all. Extensive craft beer selection and great local pub atmosphere. We've had a couple of family meals there too now and the food and service were fantastic.
I've never had a bad meal here. The staff are amazing. Food is fantastic. I had roast of the day, which was outstanding, as was the pie of the day which my husband had. We will definitely return
Total overhaul of my previous review years ago. I love this local haunt. Everything from the staff conversations to the quaint toilets; from the indoor bar space to the outdoor heated seating. Is there really anything else to say? Actually, there is haha. Have a chat with Steve and James; super knowledgeable about beer, super friendly, and great at giving personalised recommendations.
Been here many times! For a bar nestled in the suburbs of Birkenhead you couldn’t ask for much more. Great selection of beer, the servers are always really friendly and all up a good atmosphere! I think the chef has changed over time, but the core menu has stayed the same with typical pub grub with some standouts to (the calamari and ribs go down nicely). For the price and for where you are you can’t ask for much more. Will keep coming back that’s for sure! And if you’re a local and haven’t been, try this place out…
